This could be their battle cry to promote the business, but everyone already knows Maine lobsters are world-renowned. We spent the night in the Portsmouth area, but had planned months early to visit Warren’s for, you guessed it, LOBSTER.
Lobster can be prepared numerous ways and Warren’s offers them all. Some dishes have set prices and others are dependent upon market price, so ask before ordering. I chose Lobster Thermidor, only because very never had it. My wife chose the Piles of Claws, or something which was better. There were both very good. Sure, lobsters here are less expensive than back home, but still not cheap. Other dishes are offered, if by some chance you do not want lobster.
The night we were there, it was foggy on the river and we couldn’t see more than about 100 feet. When we passed through Kittery on the return trip a week later, it was a bright sunny day. Warren’s has a great view right on the water. There is even a Navy base only a few 100 meters away.
