This was a great place to stay. The kids really enjoyed the pool, but one of my boys was too young to go on the slide even though he would have been fine and the other wanted to go down but was unwilling to go without goggles on his face. They have lots of rules- some I understand like no cotton clothing in the pool, some seem silly like no goggles on the slides. Disc golf- We tried it, but it is a difficult course and not for beginners. Also seemed kind of swampy and buggy in several places. I feel campgrounds that offer extra amenities like disc golf and mini putt are great; however i wish the price was per stay and not per day as we would have played way more miniputt and been able to finish the discgolf. Overall campsite was a good size, bathrooms were campground bathrooms nothing special. Decent stay overall.

SIte was good in the pull thru section. Very long but bring leveling blocks. Spacious between sites 1-8 but tight in the interior. Same on roads, long rigs will have a hard time moving around and getting into slots in the interior I'd think. Beach is there but think water level affects it in that it wasn't very nice looking. Became a party zone on the weekend. Staff drove by our trash several times on some days leading to animals getting into it on occasions

Overpriced for what it is. Bathrooms are a mess and showers,if they work, are a joke. $.25 to stand in filth because they never get cleaned. They need to invest a little money back into the place. My wife asked for a basketball at the office, $10 deposit and if you return it you get $9 back. $10 visitor fee is a little steep too. Roads to campsites are more like wagon paths. Sorry to say but I wouldn't recommend this place to people I like.

We just returned home from a 3 night stay and came on here to write a review and just read all the bad ones and I'm chuckling. First of all, this is camping. Sites are rough, roads have rocks and that lake is untouched as it should be. My husband has been going to this campground on and off his whole life and he said it's actually better. Lots of kids in the pool but it was clean (our grandkids loved the pool), and lots of activities for the kids as it was a Halloween weekend theme. The mini golf is adorable ($5 a person) and the arcade keeps kids amused. See the photos but our site, #213, was great! Close to the water, beside the brook (love the sound of that brook at night!), slightly unlevel but it really wasnt a problem. We didnt go to the beach but took the kids and dog down to the water and found sandy patches to wade and play. This is not a 5 Star Sandals Resort in the Bahamas. This is Maine in the woods. We had no noisy neighbors, no loud trucks, no inappropriate behavior by others. Just a lot of dirt! The bathrooms and showers were just fine...the shower costs a quarter and well worth it! We would go again in a second.
