We stayed at the Beachmere for the first time in Jan .We made a return trip in Feb. We decided to get a suite and to my surprise it was fantastic. My wife wanted a room with a fireplace for the romance and to get the chill of the winter out of our bones. The suite consisted of a bedroom, living room and a kitchen. The kitchen came in handy because we bought lobster meat in York on the way up. There is not anything like looking at the Atlantic by a warm fire with a glass of wine in your hand. The best part of the suite is in the morning I could sleep and my wife went by a fire and slept. The hot tub is inside and was ok.I prefer the adventure of an outdoor hot tub. There is no pool so if you are plannig on a trip during the summer just be advised. The staff is very friendly. I also like the the fact that it is more of a hotel than a motel.Great place and definately will visit again. The Beachmere is my new favorite place. The price in the offseason is about $180.00

Room Tip: Get the suite with the fireplace

Dear sportsmaniac -

Thank you for your comments about your stay with us in Jan. and then again in Feb. It sounds like you both enjoyed our suites with the flexibility and options they can provide for space and relaxation. Sitting by the fire with a glass of wine in hand with the views available from the Inn sound like a perfect getaway to me. Sorry we couldn't offer you an outdoor hot tub (due to Ogunquit's zoning) but hope you enjoyed the oversized salt water spa and the cedar sauna (or maybe a massage treatment?) We hope you will both visit us again when you return to Ogunquit. Thanks Again
Sarah Diment

We were lucky enough to spend 2 nights in Ogunquit, Maine this past week, when the temperatures soared into the 80's. It was beautiful. Being the end of March, the area was still very quiet, but all the better for us. We parked the car at this lovely hotel and then walked to town, walked the Marginal Way and walked to the beach. The Beachmere Inn is located very conveniently to all. It is directly on the ocean, with expansive views. Our accomodations were clean and very well stocked. We had a 1 bedroom condo with ocean view. Wow! Can't say enough. Continental breakfast served in the morning. Great coffee, served all day. Great staff.
No pool, which did not bother us at all. We go more for the relaxation, atmosphere and beauty.
Try the Maine Diner up Rte 1 a few miles, in Wells, for breakfast all day or other home cooked meals. I had the Lobster pie. It was great. Worth the short ride.
Can't go wrong in Ogunquit. It is a lovely place by the sea.

Room Tip: Talk to staff. Different buildings, give different views. All lovely.

Very classy room with a view to die for. We booked for three nights and had to leave after the second night due to my wife becoming ill. We were not charged for the canceled night. We greatly appreciated every aspect of our stay.

This was our first time at Beachmere and third stay in Ogunquit, and this is clearly the best experience of the three. The views from the room were great. The town is conveniently close and it is a nice walk on the Marginal way to Perkins Cove. The staff gets A for Hospitality. They were unfailingly cheerful and quickly responded to any request. We enjoyed the hot tub and massage offerings, as well as the pub. The suite was comfortable and could easily have accommodated two more people. We will definitely go again. The only complaint we had was that the bathroom, although recently remodeled, was a bit crowded and I don't think that is necessarily true in other rooms.

Room Tip: Views vary among rooms. Some are oriented toward the beach and others toward the ocean. We chose the...

We haven't been back to the Beachmere in over 5 years and we're overwelmed by the new South Buliding addition. We stayed in room 106 with the most wonderful view of the ocean. When we entered the room it took our breath away. It was a 2 room suite with a gas fireplace. Everyone at the Beachmere goes out of their way to make your stay special. The morning continental breakfast was a very nice touch. This visit was to celebrate my 70th birthday, with 2 other couples, and now we will return every year.

Room Tip: Room 106 or 206 in the South Building
