“An excellent choice for accomodations!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2011

I have been staying at the Ogunquit Beach Inn for 10 years. Greg and Michael are consistently warm, inviting and gracious hosts. They provide a welcoming atmosphere at their Inn and are very knowledgable about activities in town including recommendations for meals, shows, plays and nightlife. The Inn and property are meticulously maintained and many extras are provided to guests such as beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cocktail bar. I would highly recommend contacting them for reservations as even if they are full they will happily direct you to other places in town that can accomodate you.

Room Tip: naughty pine, bittersuite, lighthouse room.

We booked a room here well in advance as we wanted to be sure of a good place to stay after arriving at Boston airport from Europe. We advised Greg that we would be arriving late and in his supposedly charming matter he confirmed that it would be fine. However after a drive up to Ogunquit from Boston in the rain, we were greeted at the front desk with an unfriendly "who are you?"and "I'm fully booked!" Luckily we had copied our email correspondance, yet even this only made Greg come up with the feeble excuse" I must have typed the wrong date into the computer because you wrote it the Europen way. " All we can say is that a booking for 24th of June couldnt really be mistaken since even in the
US way of writing dates, the year doesn't have 24 months!!
Greg called a neighbour who was able to put us up- all be it in a room where the bed linen was damp.... We were glad to leave the next morning. Fortunately, this was not typical of the rest of our hosts in Canada and the US on our trip. Elsewhere we had wonderful accomodation, warm welcomes, confirmed reservations that remained confirmed,no damp bed linen and no confusion with 24 months in a year ....

I just stayed three nights at the Ogunquit Beach Inn and was throughly impressed with every aspect of my stay. Wonderful welcome from Greg - the "host with the most", clean well decorated room ( I had the large two room suite - the other rooms are quite small, but comfortable), the tasty breakfast spread, and the powerful wifi. It matches the charm of the rest of this wonderful town,

Room Tip: If you want the best of the best, spring for he two room suite!

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcomed. Greg was efficient at getting the paperwork out of the way and on to pleasure. The rooms were a great value and I had checked out many other places before this one was chosen.
The web site was very informative and not over hyped, and easy to navigate.
Greg talked a little bit to us and found out what we wanted to do in town during our stay and was so enthusiastic about pointing out the highlights and recommendations of the town. In the Common area there is an aerial view of Ogunquit and he points out many of the attractions and directions from the Inn, very informative and helpful.
Greg showed us to our rooms and I was immediately taken with how clean and fresh smelling they were, no chemical smell fresh, just clean fresh. I had the Lighthouse room and it was fantastic, well furnished, no dust anywhere, large enough for me to move about as I am a large man, and only one half step needed to get into the room from the outside.
Centrally located, we walked to everywhere from the Inn, making frequent trips back to our rooms as it was so convenient.
An overall great stay, I would recommend the Ogunquit Beach Inn to any one.

Stayed for the second half of a week-long anniversary vacation in New England, and couldn't have been happier. Greg clearly loves his business and made us feel completely at home. He knows the area very well and was able to make some great recommendations. The breakfast was just the right mix and amount to get us up and going for the day. Location is perfect for parking the car and taking leisurely, romantic walks and for hitting all the town's shops and restaurants, and even for crawling home from the loca bars.

We stayed in the "Naughty Pines" room, which was wonderful with our own private deck and outside entrance.

Will certainly be back next time we're in the area.

Stayed for a couple of nights in July and enjoyed it. This was a tough rating for me to assign but I'll go ahead with "excellent" since the location is VERY good, the hosts are nice and the property is well maintained.

Only big drawback: the green and yellow rooms are quite small and are probably better for single travelers than couples. ( We may have booked elsewhere had we really known how small these rooms were going to be as it was difficult for two people to move around the room). Soundproofing between rooms is very good and we slept very well. The room size is just a bit of an issue. On a more positive note, the yellow room's bathroom is spacious. And I also think the other guest rooms are larger, so consult the host about room size when booking.

Breakfast is very modest. Help-yourself continental served throughout the morning.

A nice touch are the beach chairs for guest use. Grab one and soak up some sun at the nearby Ogunquit Beach!
