Just spent a couple of nights here with my family and loved it. It’s an older hotel but the rooms were updated. The room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. There was a kitchenette with a Nespresso and new appliances. Everything was clean. We were happy to have chosen a peaceful location away from the noisy center of town but still reachable by walking. Or you can take the shuttle.
The pool was crystal clear, the water warm. There was a bbq grill and picnic tables for guests to use plus a fire pit & some other comfortable seating areas. The staff was friendly. The restaurant on site meant we could have breakfast or lunch there without a big production.
I don’t really understand why it gets such a low star rating. And after reading some of the 1,2 and 3 star reviews, I felt the reviewers were a bit harsh in their overall rating as many of them seemed to have only minor complaints. I have stayed in places that had 4 stars and were true dumps. This place is like The Ritz compared to a “4 Star” Trip Advisor rated hotel I stayed at in Eureka, California a few weeks ago which was kinda like a dank & seedy flop house.
Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it if you are looking for a reasonably priced place for a family vacation at Old Orchard.More
