This is my first time to Tina. I went with a group of people also order different dishes we sat in the middle of the entryway and I’m very busy part of the restaurant which was somewhat uncomfortable. Once we settled in with drinks and appetizers we waited for her meals. All five of the folks dining had the same feeling. The food was OK and we probably would not return. There are too many great restaurants in the Portland area my fish was Fresh but bland. Others were equally unimpressed. I’d skip this one

We had a nmber of issues on our first visit on Saturday. The service was wildly slow but our perception, based on what we saw happening with other tables, was that it was an overall kitchen issue. The pita, that they claim is made in house, is frankly terrible. It was cold and hard-nothing like what you get at most restaurants who serve it. The mezze plate is okay but nothing out of the ordinary but again, cold, hard and heavy pita. The chicken entree is very good but we waited far too long to get it. Finally, the trainee server was trying to hide and eat, not so discreetly, in between work duties. When the bill was tallied, we found it to be more expensive than many other Portland restaurants that have both superior food and service.

Attended a wedding reception; the Tiqa food was excellent. Located on Commercial Street waterfront and nearby streets feature many attractions, vibrant night life, shopping and people watching.

The restaurant was not at all busy but we waited over 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. And over 40 min for an order of eggs and an order of French toast. There were 3 cooks behind the counter so I cannot begin to explain why it took so long to get our food when there were 5 tables of diners. The French toast was like eating dried bread, very little flavor and not at all how the menu described it. Certainly not worth the wait. It was garnished with fruit which included ONE raspberry~and in the land of blueberries~4 blueberries. We also watched a staff person bring a bucket of something to wipe down the table next to us. I appreciate cleaning a table but bringing a bucket right next to where we were eating? ICK. The room is pretty and could be comfortable. But I would not go back and would not recommend it.
