The room was disappointing. The hotel is on Hwy 1. The first room we were assigned faced the highway, so I asked to be moved. Cheerfully, the desk manager moved us to the back of the building, but you could still hear road noise. Fortunately, traffic slowed down during the night, The gentelman in the room downstairs was smoking outside his room and the smoke wafted up to our room. During the night, we could hear him coughing. When we returned from dinner hoping to clear the problems, there was no one at the desk. In general, the room needed maintenance attention: the light was burned out over the sink, the curtain rod did not move freely and there were holes in the screens. On the plus side, a comfortable bed. For the price of the room, it did not meet expectations. I would not stay here again.

Room was comfy, 2 nice Wingback chairs, TV, Kurig coffee machine and refrigerator, bathtub with stopper (this is really a plus if you want to take a bath). You wouldn't believe how many hotels do not have a stopper that works for the bathtub. We needed to stay a few extra days and the owner made it possible for us to stay in the same room. The homemade breakfast each day was wonderful (quiche, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, great coffee). Location close to everything ans a great value for you money.

Anytime we were using the toilet , a fluid from the bathroom above would leak on our heads, looked up and saw a big gap with a trash bag stuck in it , see pic attached . Emailed owner or manager several days ago and no response. Room was not great with bad mattresses , tiny bathroom . Can’t even believe the bathroom leak , are you kidding !horrible

We just returned from Schooner Bay and wanted to thank Scott for being such a fabulous host!! The rooms are clean and air conditioned which helped in this unusual Maine heat wave.. Scott gave us fabulous ideas on places to see and great places to eat, too!! And I must say, the breakfast was a wonderful addition to an otherwise great vacation!! And even though we are sailors from the Northeast.. We had the best lobster roll ever (at his recommendation at Mcloon's). Don't miss Cellardoor winery, too!! You won't be sorry!! Thanks again!! We'll be back... With our puppies!! Yes, he is dog friendly!!

We stayed there for 3 days with our 3 West Highland Terriers and had a good time. It's not fancy, but clean and Scott, the owner, is amazingly friendly, giving us a detailed itinerary for all the great places in the area. The breakfast is really amazing with quiches, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries and too many things to list. It's a great value if you're looking for a place to base your mid-coast Maine adventure.
