Very crowded and hard to find a parking place, even though we visited after Columbus Day!. But once seated, the signature homemade popovers and strawberry jam were amazing, as remembered, and the seafood chowder was loaded with seafood and absolutely delicious!

We drove around for 2 days before getting a parking spot to see what this place was all about- because it was so busy I thought I would be missing something if I didn't get there....yeah ok I think the attraction might be the restaurant which I didn't eat at?

We were excited to try this reastaurant but the food was not as good and over priced and waited 4 min to be seated for 3pm since we did not make reservations. The patio outside where you have view of the pond is no longer available as it was already Fall season. The popovers are good but the clam chowder was really nothing special, and we wanted to order crab dip with pita but since they no longer have pita, they are serving with potato chips If there was a view I would probably have enjoyed the food more as it will compensate with my higher expectation but that was not the case.

So, the biggest problem was Parking. And once we found an open space, six others opened at the same time!

The Food was great, however we would have preferred to eat outside. They warned ahead of time that there was a Bee issue outdoors.

They offer Popovers. It's their thing. But I thought that meant, like when the chef brings out something special to taste, that this was just a "thing" they offered. No. They're $2.50 a piece. They're alright, but being on a tight budget, they should mention the cost. Otherwise, we enjoyed our little luncheon and were surprised that they offered Blueberry "whatever" to go into our Arnold Palmers. We tasted them separately but weren't impressed.

We have been here several times and the setting cannot be beat. Do call ahead to make a reservation or be prepared to wait. We made a reservation for our 2nd day in the Park. Megan W did a fantastic job not only with us, but with every table in her station. We went with the ever famous warm popovers with strawberry jam and hot tea. A perfect mid-afternoon treat in the ideal location. Do go here and linger for awhile!
