We recently stayed at the Anchorage for a wedding we were attending. The location was great, right across from the beach, staff was friendly. Our room was in the back building, outdated, carpet needed to be replaced and the bathtub was dirty. It was also the first day they were implementing guests wearing bracelets which I completely understand. The next morning the woman at the front desk gave me a little grief for my not throwing my bracelet in the trash at the front desk when I went to ask for a new one. I explained that I had gone to a wedding 1. Was not going to keep the same one on 2. Not going to walk back to the front desk before the wedding to take it off and throw in the trash. She told me they had a barrel full of them at the front desk and no one else had a problem with that system. Again, I have no issue with wearing a bracelet, I completely understand the concept and encourage it. Hotel is great for kids but rooms needs some updating for the price they get per night.
We had breakfast across the street, food was good, service was terrible. Asked 3x for a glass of water, bacon never came at all, took about 1 hr for food. More
