We had the most delightful hour at this small museum. It's "only" two rooms, but it has been totally upgraded/modernized and now is simply not to be missed. Our hostess was a long-time resident of Easton and the Eastern Shore and added to our visit immensely. The new technology--flat screens with the most amazing collection of Eastern Shore photography--makes you feel as tho you are walking the streets at the beginning of the last century. If you are in/around Easton, DO NOT MISS this museum.

Really enjoyed this gem of a museum located in an historic old home just across the street from the gardens.
Small, but very informative and fun.

Talbot County's intriguing history is presented in a high-tech experience that lets visitors explore at a relaxed pace. On section shows how the County's geography - miles of waterfront surrounding verdant farms and forests - has influenced its growth. The second, possibly more fascinating section, focuses on some of the people who have made an enduring impact, from Frederick Douglass to Artist Ruth Starr Rose. A touch screen allows visitors to flip through a number of brief bios ranging from early settlers to 20th century developer James Rouse, an Easton native. A fun experience in the heart of downtown Easton!
