We had an amazing time at the Inn! Everyone was so hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. They greeted us with a bottle of champagne in the room and a little plate of grapes, sweets, and sherry. They tided our rooms in the morning and evening and replenished the grapes, sweets, and sherry. The Victorian Suite was perfect for the 2 of us and the house was beautiful. Lots of games in the living room if you want to hang out inside. And the breakfast was amazing!!! I love good food and they couldn't have been better. They are bed and breakfast style (as in you get what they make that day) and both were fabulous. I would stay again for lots of reasons but also just to eat the breakfast!

Thank you for your fabulous comments Nicole. I too love breakfast and so I have a great time thinking about what to do next. We do have a lot of fun things to do here at the inn whether it's windy and rainy or sunny and warm. As well as our exciting town. Great shopping, friendly people and lots of history. Our historic walking tour really gives you the sense and feeling of the history here. I look forward to seeing you back again. And, I'll have a couple of new offerings for your breakfast.

The original plan was for a one night romantic getaway but....ended up staying the weekend! Charming 19th century mansion that has been renovated with no detail overlooked. Each room has a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub. Food and wine at the Peacock was amazing. Thanks to Ron and Shelby for being such extraordinary hosts!

Room Tip: Can't go wrong with any room

It was great meeting you Willis. We sure had more than a few laughs Saturday night with your friends. I'm so happy that you chose to stay another night and dine with us two nights in a row. We do take pride in our inn and restaurant and am thrilled when we achieve our goals with our guests. I look forward to a long, mutually successful relationship with you and hope to see you soon.

We arrived Friday afternoon and returned home on Sunday after service at Bethel AME Church, which was dedicated by Frederick Douglass in 1878. Staying at a bed and breakfast was a first for the both of us, and we were most pleasantly surprised by the experience!

First, the hospitality of owners Ronald and Shelby Mitchell and their staff was beyond measure. The food was not short of amazing. We had the dining room to ourselves on Saturday morning for a breakfast of buttered croissant French toast with blueberries and raspberries and bacon, orange juice and coffee. Dinner and Sunday’s breakfast was equally delicious, starting with cinnamon and buttered baked half apples.

Our accommodations were great! Everything was clean and well organized. I swear, every time we left our room we were met with fresh fruit, candy or cookies upon our return. The property is just beautiful, with suites to fit all tastes. Each room is furnished and decorated to fit the Asian, English, French, Safari and Victorian inspired themes.

Mr. Mitchell’s vast knowledge of Easton’s ‘Hill’ neighborhood and history prompted us to take an impromptu, self-directed walking tour of the quaint town. As we stood looking at Ashbury United Methodist Church, map in hand and clearly looking like tourists, Mr. Brooks (88 years old) stopped his car to talk with us. He shared that he is among the members of the first black Boy Scout troop shown on the placard in front of the church. He’d grown up in Easton before joining the US military. His grandfather’s house, which is still standing, but in need of major repairs, housed many Buffalo Soldiers.

To Ronald, Shelby, Sharon and Robert, Perry and I offer a resounding THANK YOU! You made us feel right at home. Whether you know it or not, you’ve gained two new family members!

Perry & Leslie G.

Thank you for your kind words and thoughts Perry & Leslie. You two have easily become family and we welcome you both with open arms. We so enjoyed spending time with you, talking about the history of Talbot and Easton and sharing your adventure with you.
We cannot wait to see you back so we can continue to build our family relationship. Clearly, there's much, much more to learn.

The Inn (especially its interior) is exceptionally beautiful, with imagination and thought given to each detail of the furniture, amenities, and overall design - and stays true to the building's Victorian heritage. We stayed in the Safari Room (thanks to an unexpected but highly appreciated upgrade), which is a first-class experience all by itself. The Inn owners and staff are all highly welcoming, helpful and professional. The food and service (at the Inn's Peacock restaurant) were unbelievable and well worth the price. We definitely recommend the Inn and restaurant for any special occasion or much-needed weekend getaway. We hope to be back again!

It was great fun chatting with you two and providing some modicum of history. I know that you two are world travelers and praise is probably limited so we are very happy to have met your expectations. Perhaps, when it is a bit warmer, you will return and experience the beauty of the Eastern Shore. If you do return, we would be most happy to host you again.
All the very best in this new year.

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would.

We recently had the entire Inn rented from Friday to Sunday for our wedding in Nov. 2017. The owners, Ron and Shelby, were amazing from the get go - helping me plan the wedding down to the detail. They stayed in touch during the entire planning process and were quick to answer any question I had. When it came down to the big day, I couldn't have been more pleased. Ron and Shelby ensured everything went to plan - even coming in to help with tying a bow tie! Every guest commented on how beautiful and decadent the Inn was - it was the perfect setting for my wedding. The food, provided by the Peacock restaurant, was delicious - everyone was talking about it the next day. Additionally, the service was impeccable and left a lasting impression on all of us (special shout out to Sharon and Robert).

Ron, Shelby, and all the staff at the Inn made my wedding weekend the stuff little girls dream about. We will definitely be coming back for anniversaries!

Dearest Kelley.
What a joy to have worked with you to plan and execute your wedding dream. All of us were and are thrilled to have participated with you and your fine husband taking you from our initial conversation back in January to that memorable day in November. We too shall remember that weekend and the bow tie. It is fantastic to have such a wonderful weekend without any stress leading up to the event or during the event. You are a gem to work with and we are happy to have been active partners in your very special day. We look forward to seeing you both time and time again. All the very best from all of us.
