Most folks are familiar with "Meadow Park", but they are commonly referring to West Meadow Park, with the track and sports fields.
East Meadow Park is the little looking park across Delaware Avenue. I say little looking because to fully enjoy it you must got to the back of the parking area and hike into the rest of it.
That's where the fun begins. The area is teaming with wildlife. The settling ponds offers a lot of habitat for the animals. So any walks around the park will guarantee you will stir up something to watch.
There is a huge expanse of area off to the NE that can be hiked however, it is vastly unimproved. That's great if you just want to get away into the woods for awhile.
Since the city has made a few improvements to the area expect to see more traffic and visitors. That of course will mean more improvements coming down the way.
It's a great little secluded wildlife area in the heart of town. Easy to get to.
