We decided to stop here for a quick breakfast on our way home and saw the crowded lot and I figured there would definitely be a wait but we were seated right away. The service was great, we constantly had servers coming by to fill our beverage glasses. Their biscuits were top notch. We both really enjoyed our meals.

Had the lunch special baked chicken, stuffing with mashed potatoes. Chicken is bone in, stuffing mostly celery and gravy watery I would not order again. Waitress was friendly. We had a group of 4 and needed 4 separate checks...all came on one so we asked at the register to separate, two employees chatting right in front of the register so we had to excuse ourselves just to get thru, lady at the register was visually bothered that we needed separated, kept arguing that there were only 3 orders on the ticket not 4 until the girl beside her told her to scroll down. Once all 4 were separate she decided that one of the other ladies in our party needed to pay for her salad first so we all had to switch who was in line instead of just ringing us out as we lined up, and she tried to convince the other cashier to take care of 2 of us but she already had someone in her line. We left feeling like we were not only a bother but completely unwelcome. Will just go somewhere else next time.

Ben and Mrs Too spent the night at a motel which does not offer breakfast, so found a Cracker Barrel in nearby Hagerstown.

We have frequently had breakfast or lunch at Cracker Barrel, and have never really had an unpleasant experience, though service can be, in fact, often is, quite slow. Nevertheless, it is fun to sit back, write off an hour or so, and watch the diners gathering, chatting, and obviously enjoying themselves. It seems every Cracker Barrel store is a favorite with the locals. For travelers, it is a consistently good meal at quite reasonable prices, and always seems to be staffed by cheerful souls, as long as one is in no hurry.

Ben had one scrambled egg with yummy bacon and a biscuit. Mrs Too decided to try their biscuit French toast breakfast, including sausage and a scrambled egg. Everything was very, very good.

Somehow, we never seem able to leave without roaming the aisles in the country store side of the building. More often than not, we run across something to purchase. That day it was a cookbook of classic dishes made in cast iron cookware, of which we have a fair selection.

Cracker Barrel is Cracker Barrel, and always a relaxing, refreshing stop for a casual meal.

Reuben sandwich is always my choice when having lunch here. Service and food has always been above average at this location.

Cracker Barrel is consistently a friendly place to go. The food is decent, especially if you like fried, country comfort food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went with a group of 11 and everything was great. I recommend Cracker Barrel for friendly get togethers.
