..you dinner will be simple and it will be difficult if you are a vegetarian, like my companion.who happened to like the nopales taco.. as you will only have them and a chicken taco to choose from.. but otherwise you'll have a ball, with a wide selection of meats to choose from, offal included.. it's noisy and patronized almost exclusively by Latinos and it was packed the night we went, which is a very good sign.. not all tacos are the same, and some were pretty dry, but overall the experience was as good as i remember from years back.. a good place to come back to.. warning: no beer is served, but very chilled agua de coco is a good counterpoint to the heat of the sauces that accompany the meats... next door a small but tightly packed store where you'll find the best verdolagas and guaje...

We visited there b/c the high rating and Mexican community, when we drove up, we were a little taken back with the bars on the front but, quickly got over it with all the loud festive music and decorations in the parking long, that part was actually great. The taco's were delicious and we 4 different, carnitas, ribs, chicken and cactus. The sauces were fresh and delicious. The reason I give it 3 stars vs. 4 is there were several bones in the rib taco that were not pleasant. There were a few small ones in the carnitas one also.

Went with a coworker today for lunch. It is out of the way in a neighborhood that is mainly ethnic. We arrived there at 12:30 and the line was long but it moved fast. This is definitely the real deal, 99% of the patrons are from Mexico or other central American Countries. But don't let it put you off, you will be treated well here. We ordered our food, three chorizo tacos, three tongue tacos, three fried tacos and three drinks. Total bill was about $33. The place is clean though compact and the Mexican music is loud but that just adds to it. The food came quickly. Nice freshly prepared tacos. They move so much there is no way it could be old! The tacos come with cucumber slices and limes. There is a tray with two sauces and a spicy relish. The green is a mild jalapeno base and a red that was spicy but full of flavor. Three tacos were more then enough to be satisfied. Plenty of meat and other ingredients and very tasty. I have no complaints and will go again. A unique experience.

Sitting outdoors, listening to loud Mexican music and enjoying pork belly tacos and Dos XX"s. Am I in Cancun?...Mexico City?. No, I'm in Riverdale, Md in a restaurant where no English is spoken. Transported by delicious soft tacos authentic and delicious. All kinds of exotic options...each one better than before. Get in the car and drive south of the border on Edmonston Road. You won't be sorry.
