This was a first-class experience for thirty women of all ages who came together for a time of spiritual refreshment and reflection. Thanks to all of the staff for making it a memorable stay. You're the best.

I was very please and with the staff this has been the first hotelI have been to that the pool has been open till midnight.

I guess a had somewhat higher expectations for this hotel by reading some of the reviews. Although I can’t say that it is a bad hotel, I can’t rate it more than average.
We visited OC in the last weekend of March when the city was hosting a cheerleading competition with thousands of participants. So I can’t comment on the price as it was probably inflated in all hotels because of this event. Here are my impressions:
Positive
- Right in front of the beach – nice!
- Room has a good size for a family of 4 , with 2 double beds and sofa bed
- It has a kitchen (although very small)
- Restaurant is good and has 2 options, fine dining and casual

Negative
- Everything looks old and worn out from hallways and elevators to bathroom and refrigerator
- It’s far from the boardwalk (2.5 miles) and the most picturesque part of the town.
- At the end, as a “thank you” gift for our stay, the hotel refused to extend my check-out time for just 1 hour (I can’t imagine that they would have many new guests arriving on a Sunday afternoon in off-season). They instead tried to sell me another night stay for discounted price.

Overall it was an ok stay. But if returning to OC I would try to stay on a walking distance to the boardwalk and on a newer or recently renovated hotel.

Arrived for a one night stay to a room with a "kitchenette" - which would have been helpful if we were staying longer.

The indoor pool was under repair and partially roped off and the the "hot" tub was more like a "warm" tub.

The bathroom fan and heat lamp were about falling out of the ceiling.

Finally, when arriving back to the room at about midnight, it smelled of cigarette smoke - despite being on a non-smoking floor. Called the front desk and no other rooms were avail and was promised someone would be up to check it out. Waited for an hour...no one came! smell was strongest in the bathroom so I assume the guests in the room next door were smoking and the odor was coming from there. Had it not been midnight, I would have packed up and went elsewhere.Ended up spraying body spray to get rid of the smell and kept the bathroom door closed.

Upon checkout, I informed the front desk manager and she did apologize and gave our family coupons for free breakfast in the restaurant.

Would not recommend or stay here again.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. After this experience, I would not recommend any Holiday Inn, Expedia, or even Ocean City to anyone. When we made our recommendation, we called what we thought was the holiday inn reservation line. When the Expedia representative answered the phone, he simply stated " reservation line". We were assured a non-smoking room and were put in a smoking room that smelled of smoke so severely, it was as if we were smoking. I think the rooms have adjoining vents. We complained to numerous staff members and were told repeatedly there was "nothing they could do". We were told we have to call Expedia with any complaints (about their hotel?). When I called Expedia, I was told there was "nothing they could do" and that I should have complained to the hotel staff while I was there. Long story short, neither place was helpful and my children with severe allergies were uncomfortable the entire stay. Please take my advice and do not stay at this hotel and DO NOT use Expedia/Hotel planner for reservations. The hotel itself is a 2 star at best. Very disappointed in the dishonesty and total lack of concern that both Holiday Inn and Expedia displayed. Promising a person non-smoking and then saying "there is nothing we can do" should be illegal. You are selling a product, knowing that product is not at all what is expected or promised to the customer, just to make a dollar.

Room Tip: Do not book with hotel planner or Expedia. Do not stay at holiday inn. Try the Hilton line of hotels...

Last week we came down to her away for the day. Jason the front desk associate was so helpful. Got us set up with the priority club and saved us money. He got us an upgraded room. So then this week we decided to come visit again because last week went so we'll and wasn't too costly. Jason was at the desk again and there was another guy kevin. Both were very friendly and helped us out again with a great room and deal. This time we stayed two nights. Honestly visiting ocean city is one of our favorite places to come but Jason and kevin made us only want to come to the holiday inn. The customer service was far better thenthat amy place I have ever stayed. These guys are a true asset to the business. More hotels need employees like them. I wish people where always so friendly like them.

We stayed in a direct oceanfront efficiency as part of a three-day golf package arranged by the Harrison Group. Are only real complaint was that the room was supposed to have a small dining table which was not there. We did not discover that other such rooms had the table until near the end of our stay, but management made on effort to bring one in the absence of a complaint from us. We also had minor issues with service in terms of bringing replacement towels for the kitchen. However, the room was very quiet and right on the beach (although on the seventh floor). The Harrison group also gave us coupons for steamed shrimp at the bars at both this restaurant and the Hoiday Inn and Suites further down the beach on the boardwalk. This hotel is not on the boardwalk, but we walked on the beach and did not miss any crowds on the boardwalk (although this was not the time of year for crowds. The whole package, with four nights and two rounds of golf (for one golfer) was $408. It may have been further discounted due to construction work that closed off the main entrance to the hotel. You should be warned that the Harrison group is friendly to deal with but somewhat slipshod on the administration of their packages.
