Had to come to Washington for a couple of days to help a friend move. Had contacted the hotel prior to coming by email with some questions. My question were answered quickly and thoroughly. Really appreciated the communication! We booked for one night initially and then on route found out we would require a second night. Called the hotel and was so happy to have a very friendly person assist me and booked two nights for us. Once we got to the hotel we found everyone from the parking lot staff, the front desk and breakfast staff all to be so extremely friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay wonderful. Our room was spacious and clean. A little dated here and there, but certainly nothing that would deter us from staying again. The room had a microwave and fridge and keurig. All wonderful extras. Loved the Bath and Body Works toiletries! Air conditioning worked great. At first we thought our room may be an issue since we were located behind the elevator and could hear it - but once we went to bed it was not an issue at all. Slept like babies! Breakfast is wonderful and plentiful. From pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy (not something Canadians are use to - but it was delicious!!) fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, muffins, yogurt etc. Really...there is something for everyone. You will not go hungry. There is a lot of stores and restaurants close by. We did not walk the area but never felt unsafe since the hotel has an abundance of security that watch over vehicles and guests. If we make it back to Maryland we will stay here again! Very happy with our choice!

Sean was very helpful in checking in and very accommodating. The parking was simple and easy in a not so simple area.
Room was very nice and looks recently upgraded. Pricing was reasonable on weekend for the area.

Our stay at this Holiday Inn Express was great: clean, attractive room with a Keurig, microwave and fridge. Friendly staff. Breakfast was included. The one minor inconvenience was the lack of a towel rack and door hook in the bathroom, which was kind of odd, but I was very, very happy with our choice.

The Metro stop is about 1/2 mile away, across from a small shopping plaza that houses a Peet's coffee, Asian restaurant, barber shop, nail salon, Italian (or pizza) restaurant, 24-hour CVS and a Giant supermarket. The hotel has a shuttle that'll bring you to the stop and pick you up on your way back. (They'll give you a card with the number for your return trip.) Be sure to double check the hours for the shuttle beforehand. We walked most times, but it sure was welcome after walking over 10 miles one day when I had blisters from my shoes!

The red line will take you into the city, with a couple of different stops in close proximity to the National Mall.

We flew into Baltimore, and directions from this airport weren't on the hotel website. The hotel was about a $50 Uber ride from the airport. You can also take the B30 bus ($7.50) to the Greenbelt Metro station and hop on the Metro. Take the green line, transfer to the red line at Fort Totten, and go 2 stops on the red line to the Silver Springs Metro stop. It's easy but the B30 bus doesn't run on weekends (so our return trip became a $40 Uber ride from Greenbelt to Baltimore airport).

I did not like my stay here at all. The front desk dude was very rude, slow and not helpful. To top it off he made an inappropriate joke. The staff that was managing breakfast supplies were also not friendly, pushing the guests around to refill the food and repeating over and over the time breakfast will be over even though there was at least 15-20 minutes left. Bathroom was not the cleanest. Elevators tiny and crowded and super slow. Super noisy, I could hear everything my neighbors were saying and being next to a car wash did not make my sleep that restful. Never staying there again.
