“Dump......A Real DUMP”

Unfortunately, this is our old corporate direct-bill hotel.....old looking outdated rooms.....on the 5th floor and want ice? go to the first floor, the only working ice machine.....You should also get a washcloth, soak good with soap & hot water.....and start cleaning......if you'd like a microwave in your room, for $10 A DAY they deliver a nasty, dirty microwave with a broken leg by a non-English speaking maid. IS THERE ANY OF THESE HOTELS THAT EMPLOY ENGLISH SPEAKING AMERICANS?

It was clean enough and the free wireless access was great. I just expected to see some things in the hotel operating better. For instance, the jacuzzi was not operational, and we were told by the lady at the front desk that some part in the motor wasn't working and they didn't know if they were going to fix it or not (was empty and covered). The air conditioning in the hallways of the hotel was non-existant, and in my room it didn't work in the middle of the night when I tried to turn it on (old style box in wall unit). I had to have maintenance come and fix it the next day (didn't help in the middle of the night when it was very hot in my room). The ice machines didn't work or had been completely removed from some floors, leaving me to traverse the various floors until I was able to find one that was there and working properly....There weren't very many cable TV stations to watch either, so bring yourself a good book or two!!!

  • Liked — Free wireless internet access
  • Disliked — Ice machines didn't work well

For the price the room was old dreary and in need of a complete revamp. The bed was lumpy, it sagged in the middle and was very uncomfortable. Bedding had burn holes as well as the carpet. Tub had rust on it. Lock on slider was falling apart. We stayed one night the left and went to the hotel up the street, for a few dollars more had a sleep number bed. Everything clean and pleasant looking. Much better deal for the money.

The staff were very friendly, but I must admit, the place needs some renos. Mouldy bathroom doors, rusty drains, cracked drywall, etc. Invest a few bucks in the place and it wouldn' t be all that bad.

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2003

My wife and I stayed 7 days - October 2003, in a room with 2 double beds. Positives: Continental breakfast plentiful and early with good coffee (not room-type coffee), employees were friendly and helpful, clean large rooms, two sinks, comfortable beds, small balconies with sliding glass door, nice view from certain rooms, nearby restaurant/bar was quite good, decent rates, large pool (not available this time of year). Negatives: Older building, toilet seat broken, sliding glass door frame broken, shower curtain in tub (we were used to CA type free standing shower enclosure), TV cable had about 15 stations (we were used to 200 at home), irregular older heating/cooling, few electrical outlets, thin walls to hear neighbors, "view side" rooms also had freeway noise 24/7, general area did not have services withing walking distance (except the restaurant next door), access to building was through one door which meant long walks through the parking lot to rooms if you park late (the restaurant parking is also the hotel parking), not really rooms for spending time in or lounging but the lobby area had a nice sitting area with TV.

We would probably stay again since there are few options in the area at a reasonable price.
