I always enjoy outdoor fun with kids. Alderbrook offers lots of land, animals such as but not limited to chickens, donkeys, a bull, gorgeous peacocks, pigs and more. Plus, there's tons of land to run around and a playground at the top of the hill for the little ones.
After "petting and strolling," we always head to the little farmer's store for some fresh veggies and a treat. They're on the "honor system," which is rare in today's world. Always a fun time with great and accommodating people!

I just love going to Alderbrook Farm to buy anything, anything at all. Eggs, bread, cheese, fruits and veggies. Visiting the animals is a real treat for someone who grew up on a farm out west. I really love the unusual chickens, darling. I hope it is there for a generations to come.

The charm of Alderbrook Farm goes well beyond simply buying fruits and veggies.
Its like a mini escape from the hustle and bustle of a supermarket; more like visiting a Penn-Dutch farm where animals and chickens roam freely. Its a place where you're 'on your honor' to pay for your purchases by adding up what you bought and placing your cash and coins in a small metal box, with nobody in attendance. At the holidays there is a Christmas crèche and a reenactment of the nativity. The coffee is terrific, the produce available is what is in season, and the owners are so friendly and helpful. You really feel like a valued customer. I would highly recommend a trip to Alderbrook at any time of year. Fall is especially beautiful, but so is summer and spring. At Christmas you can buy boughs of holly and pine. Go there to 'veg-out' and support your local farmers. And bring your family too. You will return over and over again.

Great place to pick up bread and milk as well as some home made goodies, during the season there are seasonal products from the adjacent farm as well as children being welcomed to pet animals.
