Visited on a nice day, walked up and down the street. The buildings are interesting and the history enticing.

“History is so close.”

The history of the village, the massacre and from my childhood the story of Bloody Brooke still stands out in my mind. I remember it everytime I pass by it.

“Beuatiful historic houses and village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2011

We made a special side trip to Deerfield on our way to Boston from Detroit as my husband descends from early Deerfield residents. We spent one day visiting most of the houses and the Flynt Center of Early New England Life. We returned the next morning to see the old burying ground and ancestor tombstones. The gift shop had many books on the early settlers and of those captured or killed during the 1704 Raid. It was a very rewarding visit!
