A great, short trail that is suitable for all ages. Only 1/4 mile long most young ones can handle it easily. The signs are particularly good for children and the guide rope is a wonderful feature. The trail takes you thru a good variety of areas.

This 15 to 20-minute walk is nicely designed to accommodate children as well those who are visually impaired. A rope guides the visitor through a series of interpretive stations that provide an excellent introduction to he trees and bushes along the path. There is encouragement to stop and listen for the sounds of the abundant wildlife in this natural environment. The trail includes "Treasure Boxes" that contain a host of natural "treasures" (such as sticks, rocks and pine cones). Kids are encouraged to both put objects into the boxes as well as take some away. The trail is one of the most informative on the Outer Cape so is an excellent choice for adults as an introduction to the natural surroundings

bring the kiddies, this is a wonderful way to tire out those little ones full of energy...before dinner to calm them down if you're going out to eat later...they will sit so quietly at dinner you'll be amazed...it's a great hike for liitle feet as well as big ....

I tried to do this trail with my eyes closed. It was unique and I wish they would do that here in the Adirondacks.
