Loved the Winnetu. My kids are 5 and 8 and loved the swimming pool and number of kids there. The service by Danny at the pool was top notch and kids were happy with their nuggets while we were happy with our salads and margaritas :)
There are also great cabanas to hang out in at no extra cost, you just need to reserve.

They have a great morning camp program 6 days a week, 3 nights a week of movie nights if you want an adult night out and daily homemade chocolate chip cookies, lemonade and fire truck rides. It is a perfect place for young families. We really liked the room set up with enough space for 4 (1.5 baths and a king, Murphy and sofa bed) and a kitchenette. We enjoyed the room on the ground floor so kids could fly a kite outside in the backyard w other kids.

Would highly recommend this place. It is very resort casual and has a great bike path and walking nearby, access to beach (you have to take your own chairs and walk 3 mins) and is very close to town (3 miles).

Also the food at the dunes is good for the first night you get there; it is fine dining with child care hidden in back so kids can play while you dine.

Just got back...great resort. However, be weary of the pool area. We witnessed at least 5 children daily slipping on the wet surface. I’m shocked that a newly done pool was not more thought out in terms of safety.

Spent three nights here with my husband. Arrived late in the evening & were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our room, one of the “little” cottages attached for the property. Nice size room with a dresser, armoire, mirror, night tables, a small kitchen table with two chairs and small kitchenette equipped with a toaster, microwave and coffee maker. Bathroom was generously sized, good lighting, magnifying mirror & ample sized shower with large refillable bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner. If you brought any of your own soaps, there is no shelf to put them on so you’ll have to put them on the floor. Soft towels. We enjoyed breakfast buffet at the hotel but no other meals. Hotel provided beach chairs and towels for use at beach, located within walking distance. Tim the concierge was helpful in making dinner reservations, massages and hiking rec’s. We also enjoyed the pool area which had four cabanas and a set of swinging loungers under a pergola. Very kid friendly with lots of kids programming and activities. Rooms were quiet at night and we rarely heard any neighbors. We had a car which we used most of the time but we did use the hotel shuttle to get into town one evening, which was comfortable and easy to use. The main areas for improvement would be more consistent housekeeping (we only got turn down service one of the three nights we requested) and better black out curtains as the rooms got bright by 6:00 am.

We just returned from MV and Winnetu was the perfect combination of seclusion (outside the town center) and accessibility (easy shuttle to Edgartown or walk to beach). We found the service to be welcoming and warm, and the resort itself is clean, modern, relaxing. Our kids enjoyed the kids club (which means three free hours from 9-12pm for the parents) and they loved the newly renovated pool. I found the shuttle driver back and from the ferry to be especially helpful and the suite they put us in was gorgeous (thank you)! The kids screamed with delight when they saw it and I was truly grateful to the staff for making our stay so memorable. It was a wonderful way for us to celebrate a special occasion but also to finally be able to get away as a family. The small touches (apples in the lobby, afternoon cookies and lawn games, fire truck rides, and evening smores) make this place special. I have already recommended Winnetu to several friends and we would return here (even though we usually do not visit the same place twice).

Room Tip: Edgartown Suite on 3rd floor with ocean view

We stayed for 3 nights, and I could find no faults with the place itself. Room was immaculate, staff was very sweet and accommodating, it's mostly families with young children at the hotel itself, but I'm sure the townhouses and homes have a larger variety of ages. We dined in the restaurant which was beautiful, the service was great. The menu was varied. What's amazing is that It's quiet, yes very quiet from 9pm till 9am. Blissful
