This was our first time sailing and we loved every minute of it. The weather was perfect for a day on the harbor. The captain and the rest of his staff couldn't have been more professional and nicer. You truly felt like a special guest of theirs. Captain Burnham was sincerely happy to have everyone aboard his beautiful boat and made a point to walk around during the trip and have a personal conversation with everyone there. He and the staff were happy to answer any questions about the area and share their stories. Their enthusiasm for sailing was contagious. We can't wait to go again!

Not at all as advertised, and a real rip off! We were supposed to board 15 min prior to leaving dock for our "sailing adventure" of 2 hours. We were all were waiting patiently, ship ready but no one came out until 10 min after posted sail time so finally got underway about 15 min AFTER scheduled departure. Once past the dock, the Captain and Captain in training (his daughter) made their pitch for buying snacks and drinks and did hoist the sails, and we sailed maybe 10 min more in Gloucester harbor. Very pleasant folks, would have been lovely to have actually sailed with them. After 10 min and a stone's throw from shore, the ship literally stopped and stayed in one area for about 20 min watching clouds move into Gloucester skyline. Other ships were moving, but we stayed in place.
We were told storm coming in and we then high-tailed it back to dock with sails down and engine roaring. Made it to dock before rain began. Soooo, for $40 a person (not including snacks or drinks- we experienced a 15 min wait to board,10 min "sail" and 20 min hold on water, and 10 min return to dock. Not a mention of some type of comp or discount on another trip or even an apology. I would say this trip qualified as piracy on the the high seas, but as we never made it out of vicinity of dock- that doesn't quite fit. Caution matey!

Spontaneously sailed one evening with husband, teen and tween. This was a highlight of our trip to Cape Ann! Captain Harold shared his passion for shipbuilding and was so friendly and enthusiastic. Our kids adored the firing of the cannon, and we loved the dramatic reading of Longfellow's "The Wreck of the Hesperus" as we passed by Norman's Woe. Highly recommended!!

Down-to-earth Captain sharing his passion for shipbuilding! We took the sunset tour on a beautiful night and enjoyed his commentary about what we were seeing, as well as the history of how he built his schooner, while my husband and son-in-law volunteered to raise the sails. A lovely way to spend 2 hrs. Parking available. Definitely worth the money!

Boat trip of Gloucester Harbor was great. Boat is very smooth and the harbor
is very scenic. You can help the crew put up the sails or just kick back and enjoy a beverage.
Boat crew is super friendly and helpful. A nice relaxing two-hour boat trip on a
beautiful sailboat. Beer, water, and snacks sold on board for reasonable price. Highly recommended. Ask the crew to explore the cabins below, they are worth a look as well.
