Description: The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone here: shop for souvenirs and local art at our General Store gift shop, enjoy a sail on the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon, or see the whales aboard Seven Seas Whale Watch. Whatever your fancy may be, the Linquata family invites you to join us year-round for a true taste of New England.

Nice place by the seafront serving all the traditional that needs to be on the menu. Went with two colleagues and we all tried different main courses. All were ok to good. The restaurant has a good location seemed to be popular = a lot of guests. For us it was ok.

Thank Hans K

It's impossible to impartially rate the food when the service is subpar and the management is rude. The menu is extremely over priced for mediocre pub fare.

I recommend going anywhere else... or just stay home.

Went here on a veterans tour. Second time here. Great food and Great time. The owner came out and talked to us about his father that is in his 90's in WWII. He was awesome as he was the last time we were here (four years ago). Great fresh lobster and a great time .....Many thanks from all of us at NYSCOBA Vets.

Sat at the bar and ate with a friend. Pan fries sole and fish tacos were amazing. Great New England chowdah as well.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Pleasant conversation and cold drinks. What more can you ask for?

Stopped in for an early dinner. The menu was so uninteresting that we opted for a couple of oysters (which were good and served with typical cocktail sauce and horseradish) and a cup of fish soup. It was tomato based with large chunks of fish, a bit spicy, and pretty good. It is a large restaurant overlooking the water, so you pay for that. Server was pleasant. Nevertheless, was not willing to explore further as nothing on the menu suited me ( I am on a no gluten or bacon diet).
