Always loved this restaurant nothing has changed still great!!! Loved the homemade sausage, homemade bread, pasta excellent, thought the Caeser salad was good but a little over priced, everything else I wouldn't change a bit, wish they were open for lunch

A tour group I had organized was scheduled for dinner at an Italian restaurant in Hyannis. The restaurant we had booked called to report that they had to close temporarily due to a kitchen fire. In a panic, I contacted Il Maestro Ristorante also in Hyannis and the chef-owner Mike could not have been more cooperation or more helpful.. He accommodated our 38 people and provided us with a wonderful meal, with similar choices to what we had originally arranged at the other restaurant. He came to our rescue, and we could not have been more pleased.

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner with friends. The anti pasta was a perfect choice for the three of us to share and a great complement to the crusty bread and olive oil. Expect to take your time and enjoy your evening over a fantastic meal - just like when in Italy - the conversation lingers over the courses and you're having such a great time that you don't want to leave the table. (We had tickets for a comedy show at the Cape Cod Melody tent - even the location was perfect.)

p.s. Don't be mislead by the entrance and location. The interior is wonderful and they have a lovely patio area.

Best health always,

We have been going to Il Maestro since the 1980's. We have never, ever had a bad meal at this restaurant at either location. It is one of our favorite places to dine out on Cape Cod. We have lived on the Cape since the early 1970's and we have been to many, many restaurants as we dine out frequently. We eat here year round and always dine here before a concert at the Melody Tent. And on snowy nights in the winter. with a cozy table in the bar area. The "newer" location in the brick marketplace is a beautiful room with coffered ceilings and an attached solarium dining area. Renee makes a perfect and ample cocktail and Michael's family recipes are wonderful. We visit Manhattan 3 or 4 times a year and would compare this restaurant with any Italian restaurant that we have dined at in Manhattan. Becco, La Masseria, Patsy's, Nocello, Orso, Felidia, Il Mulino, Isle of Capri, you name it. We have not had a better meal at any of these restaurants. It is a shame that there are so many "suspicious" reviews of restaurants on Tripadvisor by possible competitors. Thank you Michael and Renee for great dining experiences at Il Maestro.

We got there early and for over one and a half hours no one else came in the door. The bruchetta was attractive but mushy. And our disappointment continued with the dry and wilted salad which was very unappetizing. Did not appear to have been cleaned and because of that, obviously, had no crispness to it. One of us had veal parm which was not cooked to perfection and was both mushy and tough to cut. Servings are plentiful but we'd rather have a smaller portion of well prepared food.
