“Beautiful historic place”
Reviewed 24 March 2012

It's beautiful around this very historic area April-October, especially in May when all the young leaves come out.
Around the minuteman statue, there are also many small historic landmarks.
Often there are volunteer guides in costumes who tell the story.

“This is where the fight for our Independence started”
Reviewed 23 March 2012

early in the morning on 19 April 1775, the British Regulars met a band of Minutemen on the Lexington Green. Every third Monday in April early in the morning, a re-enactment of the Battle of Lexington takes place. History at its best. Also some interesting facts can be found around the Green as well. There are a few exciting historical taverns and homes nearby the Green as well. Lexington is an awesome walking historical town.

Great local guides. Lots of history. Don't miss "re-enactment" of the Battle of Lexington at 6 AM in April on Patriot's Day.

“A Great Place to Relive Our History”
Reviewed 29 February 2012

Free admission. I like the fact that there usually are people dressed in colonial garb, who will answer all your questions on the battlefield. The visitor center has a model of the actual battle. It is smaller than most people think the battlefield should be, but it is a beautiful park in the middle of Lexington.

“Great to walk on historic ground”
Reviewed 26 February 2012

Great to stop and see this historic site. Before you start wandering around, go across the street to the visitors center. They will load you up with information and maps to enrich your experience even more. Well preserved area, great to see history in real life.
