We stayed at the Harbor Light Inn for a weekend early March, and we were certainly not disappointed. The staff is beyond accommodating, polite and welcoming - especially Suzanne the general manager. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, and even reserved our tables.

The breakfast itself was delicious, as were the bar snacks we had one evening when we stayed in at the cosy bar. As for the room, we were lucky enough to stay in room 26 which was very spacious, beautiful fireplace, and the comfiest bed. For those of you who just can't switch off, the inn had very good wifi and television, and phones of course.

All in all, what a treat to stay there and would definitely return!

Room Tip: A room with a fireplace is definitely a must!

If you are looking to stay in Marblehead at a Bed & Breakfast, Harbor Light Inn is the place to stay. Great Service, Ambience, and Location; Personally I would like to thank Darryl who was very accommodating to my wife & I throughout our stay, although it was only one night you wish you could live there. Make sure you stop for a drink at the Tavern, great atmosphere and Darryl again was very accommodating, letting us chose the music. If you are looking for some local flavor, take the short walk down to Maddie's Sail Loft, great drinks (dark & stormy, generous pours) and it is the #3 sailor bar in the country.
Thanks again Harbor Light Inn & Darryl for the wonderful time,
Teal & Kelly Flanagin

I just got back after a one-night stay with my husband. In a word, our stay was wonderful!

Every staff person at this place couldn't be any nicer...from the woman who took our reservation over the phone, to the woman who checked us in, even the bartender- was so very nice. When we checked out, we were told we could leave our car and go walking about. We did, and enjoyed a fine morning. The owners and staff are quite hospitible.

We took a chance and stayed here on a whim for a quick getaway after a hectic work week. What a find! We stayed in room 25 and loved it. A nice, more spacious room with a king bed(had a great night's sleep), a 2person jacuzzi tub in a SPACIOUS bathroom, gas fireplace, hidden mini fridge, larger flat screen tv, skylight above the bed and a cool little sitting room. The room had everything you could need, and little touches like makeup remover towelettes, bottled water, choc mints, magnifying makeup mirror, and robes were very much appreciated.

There's a small tavern on site, a nice collection of movies that they let you have access to (DVDs/VHS player in room), and a spacious upscale breakfast area. And everything is CLEAN, everywhere.

Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices, decadent, and healthy which is nice for those watching what they eat. Their website lists the breakfast fare and it was spot on. Very, very good food. Staff went out of their way to make us we had everything we needed at breakfast,

We were asked when we would be coming back, and it will be soon. This was a very relaxing stay. I highly recommend staying here.

Thanks for a great weekend guys.

Room Tip: Room 25 overlooks the back of the property and is on the second floor. We liked the location...quiet! This room also looked much more spacious than the other rooms that were open as we walked by them.

Stayed here with my husband, after a much needed night away. The Inn is located in the historic district of Marblehead, within walking distance to the eclectic shops of Washington Street and close to the harbor. We were greeted with warmth and a rose for Valentine's Weekend...Chocolates left on our bed too. We explored the area by car, at first, ate some chowdah at The Landing (yummy), and came back to the Inn to refresh. Susan greeted us with a glass of champagne and an array of desserts in the dining room. We took some sweets to save for later up to our room (21). The room was lovely and cozy, with a fireplace and 4-poster bed. Exploring Marblehead is easy from this Inn...the streets can be confusing, but get a map from the parlor and you're all set. We dined at The Barnacle for supper, not as nice at The Landing, but the food was good. We really enjoyed walking to dinner, in spite of the bitter cold. It was nice to come "home", pick up some DVD's and light a fire and watch a movie. Breakfast on Sunday was spectacular in the elegant dining room and sun-filled "breakfast nook". Newspapers were available for your perusal. Coffee was strong and de-li-cious. Creme Broulee French Toast was superb...recipe was give to us upon checkout. Fresh juices, bagels, lox and cream cheese. All yummy. Fresh flowers everywhere. Definitely an Inn I would visit again, and this, being our first. Susan George and staff...thank you for a lovely stay.

My husband and I recently stayed there, and it was all around 5 stars. We had a Fireplace and a jacuzzi room that was to die for.

Nice tavern and access to some great restaurants in Marblehead. The staff was super-accommodating.

Loved the full breakfast! And it was really great.

We definitely will be back.

Room Tip: Any room is good.
