Very clean and comfortable. We were greeted upon our arrival and given a brief tour of the home, our room, and where breakfast would be located the following morning. We were given options of what time we'd like to eat breakfast, and were served poached eggs over toast, fresh fruit, coffee, juice etc. We learned of the history of the B&B in addition to the surrounding area during our stay. We felt welcomed, and enjoyed our experience. I would highly recommend this B&B.

We came to MA to visit my mom's family. So glad we stayed at the Centennial House. Steve greeted us and helped us with places to eat and see. The next morning we met Joan. She's so sweet and makes an awesome breakfast! I can't thank her enough for the suggestion on how to get to Boston. What a life saver! They also have 2 fur babies, Buddy & Lenny who are there to great you with happy tails. Whatever you do, take time to walk around the grounds....simply beautiful. Can't wait to come back and stay longer.

Room Tip: Deerfield suite is great for families.

The wedding couple made arrangements with several local establishments for accommodations. We were very fortunate to have chosen the Centennial House Bed and Breakfast for ourselves and another couple. Joan and Steve met us upon our arrival and gave us a tour of their wonderful Bed and Breakfast! The common rooms and breakfast area are beautifully furnished and there were all-day coffee/tea/water and even a few treats. Our room, the Sturbridge, was very large with an attached bathroom. Even though the Centennial is located on Main St in Northfield, it is set back far enough to be a nice quiet retreat at the end of a day of touring. Speaking of touring, when we had a few free hours, Joan and Steve were handy with ideas for touring the local area. The Centennial House would be a wonderful base for anyone wanting a tour during Fall colors.

Room Tip: Check their website and select a room with an en-suite bath.

Another great weekend of wedding lodging orchestrated by the bride, whom we learned had friends and well-wishers as lovely as she was to work with leading up to the weekend. Folks from all over--British Columbia, Toronto, Los Angeles, Colorado, Florida--they came from everywhere to celebrate a couple who are obviously very special people, judging from their friends. Thank you, John and Bunnie, for being two of the 13 wonderful folks with whom we got to spend the weekend. We laughed the entire time--you were like a vitamin! So glad you enjoyed the breakfasts and got some time to explore amid the very well planned three day itinerary the bridal couple arranged for everyone. We hope to see each and every one of the guests again in the future, should your travels bring you back to New England some day. Best wishes and thank you for your kind comments, Joan and Steve

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the lovely Centennial Inn. Joan and Steve are consummate hosts, and they made us feel like guests in their home -- which we really were! Breakfast was unique and delicious -- homemade cinnamon donuts and fresh fruit for starters, followed by toad-in-the-hole, bacon, potatoes -- bottomless coffee pot -- it was very hard to tear ourselves away! The house is furnished authentically and tastefully. They think of everything -- guest refrigerator, beverages, coffeemaker, cookies 24/7 -- It was a perfect prelude to our Vermont Inn-to-Inn Walking Tour, which started the next day. We will go back in a heartbeat!

I came up for a wedding with my family and was pleasantly surprised at how great this bed and breakfast was. The food was AMAZING. It was beautiful and we had everything we could have needed. Everyone was so nice and it beat staying in a hotel by far. Did I mention the food was AMAZING?

Hi Taylor, Thank you so much for your kind comments. We enjoyed meeting and hosting your family and talking "Florida". We enjoy cooking and pulling out the stops, so it is lovely when folks notice the abundance, presentation and flavors that we try to deliver each day. All the best!
