well decorated room on the second floor with a balcony outside, hot tub in the courtyard and fantastic service from friendly staff and a telephonic concierge called Loomis to provide local insight from wherever you are even before arrival. Walking distance to excellent restaurants and beaches - no need for a car , just take the ferry and use Uber wherever else on the island you need to go.

Room Tip: Try for a harbor facing second floor room

From first contact, John the owner was all about making you feel welcome. His personal attention to "hospitality" was a constant. His small, but mighty staff was a reflection of his commitment to service. We are 20 year visitors to the island and have stayed at other locations. The Dockside Inn is located within walking distance of many great restaurants and easy biking to other parts of the island. We will be making the Dockside our annual MV destination.

The staff at the Dockside is super nice and helpful. The location is great, and in the center of the action, yet despite that, we still got a quiet nights sleep. The rooms are average, clean and decent. The solarium is nice, with lots of free food, better than the normal continental breakfast most hotels offer. The outdoor patio's are nice and a great spot to have a drink. The room also had a mini-fridge. The TV's are small, but why watch TV? I definitely recommend the Dockside.

Room Tip: Back of the hotel will be quieter

On top of a great F&W Fest, the Dockside Inn was a real treat. I was blown away by the entire place! Service is stellar, location was perfect & the rooms are modern & super clean!! They have, what we were calling it, " the snack Bar" everything was free: ice cream of every kind, chips, yogurt, coffee, doughnuts etc.... It absolutely made our weekend on MV memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone that is headed over to the island. Kudos to Loomis.....you'll have to ask them.. Extremely Helpful Info in seconds.....awesome!!

Our visit to Martha's Vineyard this week was my first in 20 years, and my husband's first time there. The Dockside Inn was a perfect place for our anniversary trip. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a beautiful view of the harbor. We arrived a little early and the woman at the front desk gave us a great tour of the property and made us feel very welcome. We loved the "ask loomis"-texting concierge! Very handy and easy to use. Loomis got right back to us. The location was outstanding. It was very close to town so we walked to dinner both nights and breakfast too. Great, safe and beautiful area for taking walks. And the off season was a plus for us. OH, and great bed! Nice sheets and towels. Not too hectic with tourists everywhere. We will go back for sure. Loved it!
