After finding Settling Inn on TripAdvisor, we booked our stay with excitement. I have to say that we were more than pleased with the beauty of Settling Inn, the ease of booking our stay and communicating with the owner Linda. Linda answered every question we had and was so welcoming and helpful during our visit. The place is beautifully kept and homey. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave too soon! We will certainly be back for a longer stay at Settling Inn.

I stayed at Settling Inn with my mom for two wonderful nights in May. Every detail of the property kept in excellent condition, and the owner's extraordinary hospitality found the right balance of warmth and welcoming while respecting guests privacy.
1) The Unit: a spotless, one large bedroom (queen or king?) downstairs; one large loft with a queen(?) upstairs. One large bathroom stocked like a luxury resort. A deck right outside the dining area + kitchen
2) The Property: A beautiful plot of land that meets up with trail from nearby regional park. If you like taking hikes or forest jog, this is perfect. The trail ends at a lake and beach.
3) The Owners: Very special, kind, caring people. Linda is the primary contact, award winning baker, and talented artist.

Even if a member of your party has accessibility issues, the place should be fine. The lower bedroom is one the first floor, and directly across from the bathroom. The unit is well-lit with both natural light and many lamps, overhead lighting.
Security was good - front and back door had firm locks. There is a common door along the far wall that is shared with the owner's space - this was always shut and locked, and we never had any noise or disturbance.

Go for a just a day or stay a week. I've stayed in probably 40+ vacation rental properties in the US in the last 20 years, and know this is a very special place. Treat it with the respect and care it deserves!

Wow! Beautiful setting, wonderfully comfortable accommodation, very friendly and welcoming hosts. After spending a week in the White Mountains in New Hampshire, my partner and I came to the Plymouth area for the second week of our holiday. My partner was apprehensive about staying in an annexe and was concerned we would feel 'overlooked' by our hosts, but it couldn't have been further from the truth. We were greeted by Linda and her lovely dog Willie and she had the balance of being welcoming and giving information without being overbearing just right. The lovely cosy house was very comfortable, with everything we could possibly need for our stay. There were local guide books, tourist information leaflets and Linda was on hand if we needed anything else. From our house we were only about 10 minutes from the coast in Plymouth and about an hour from Cape Cod. There is a Shaws supermarket just up the road (if you follow Linda's directions to the property, you'll pass it on your way in) and if you want a large Walmart, just go out of the drive, turn left, go straight on through the traffic lights and at the next large right turn, with lights, turn right, go up the road a little way, then turn right again. This is a large shopping area, with lots of different shops and some restaurants and a Starbucks if you want that sort of thing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we return to the Plymouth area we would definitely stay here again.

A very comfortable and well equipped Inn with a very friendly welcome and amazing breakfasts.
Linda & Lloyd provided helpful advice both before and during our stay. Lloyd even went to the trouble of printing off the bus timetable for our trip into Boston. We have no hesitation in recommending Settling Inn as a great place to stay.

“Best kept secret in New England!”

We have just returned from two weeks in New England and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The accommodation is excellent - a home from home, with all mod cons, a peaceful setting and delightful hosts. There are beautiful walks around the nearby lakes and Plymouth is packed with history, but if you just want a place to chill out this is it. I can't praise it enough; you can enjoy the family's beautiful artwork on the walls and Linda's exceptional baking of breakfast treats (ask her to bake the French toast cups). Thank you so much Linda and Lloyd for make us so welcome. We have already recommended you to friends and family.

Linda and Lloyd are gracious and attentive hosts who want their guests to enjoy their stay. Their tips regarding restaurants, attractions and transportation greatly enhanced our trip. The site is convenient to Plymouth and the Pilgrim sites and also convenient to Cape Cod, Boston and Rhode Island. Joggers can welcome the morning sun with a run around the lake in the adjoining park and return to the Inn for a delicious breakfast. As is apparent in the pictures the Inn is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. You won't go wrong with the Settling Inn.
