We've been to Ptown almost every year over the last ten years and wanted to try something different. Reviews of the Foxberry caught our eye and decided to try it out. Although a bit on the pricey side, it was quite worth the money. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast really great and the hospitality was genuine. John is a real sweetheart and puts in long days to ensure his guests are happy. Cudos to him and his staff! We'll be back.

Having stayed in most of the nicest Guesthouses and Inns in Provincetown, my expectations were not completely high for the Foxberry Inn. Mostly because it is a former motel. I was really happily surprised. The pictures and the reviews were all very good, but I could not get the idea of "motel" out of my mind.

The reason we chose The Foxberry was because it looked nice and it did not require a 5 night minimum. We stayed 3 nights and could easily have stayed a week or longer. The current owner, John, who always seems to be there, has captured all of the great things about a charming Provincetown Guest house:

*Very friendly and engaging staff
*Charming, comfortable and modern rooms
*Fantastic breakfast and all day snacks and refreshments
*Ability to interact with other guests if you want to
*Great recommendations of what to do

and offers other features that I think actually set it apart from some of the other "best" places:

*Individually controlled air conditioning, which is fantastic for sleeping
*location very close to Herring Cove and views over the moors
*plenty of parking
*privacy due to the way the rooms are laid out.

We will definitely be back John. Thanks for welcoming us into your home. That is just what it felt like.

Room Tip: Room # 12 is a corner on the second floor and get's you an extra window!

The owner has done a very nice job breathing new life into an older property! Great continental breakfast and friendly helpful staff. A little pricey, but typical of area.

We stayed at the Foxberry Inn during Carnival week in Provincetown, and had a truly great experience. Before we arrived we already had a good vibe based on the friendly way John, the owner, had dealt with our reservation. We chose the inn partly based on good reviews, but also because we wanted a location not right in the middle of town, ( to get a bit of peace and quiet during carnival!) but no more than a few minutes stroll, and close to the beach. We were right on both counts. The Inn itself was spotlessly clean , the rooms fully refurbished, but still retaining a quaint motel feel, and the beds the best we slept on during our entire vacation. The breakfasts were as good as others have said, and John and colleagues could not have been more helpful, with advice and help all down the line ( even giving us towels and chairs for the beach!!). This B&B should really be higher in the list and will be when it has a few more reviews. We stayed in quite a few B&B's during our American vaction, and this was the best.

Room Tip: All the rooms are well appointed but ours, Number 7, had an open coastal view

What started as a last-minute weekend trip up to Provincetown became a wonderful, memorable experience thanks to the Foxberry Inn, the owner John and his staff. In my opinion, I find it quite rare to find genuine hospitality, but John and his staff know how to deliver and EXCEED guest expectations. From the uber clean rooms to the gorgeous continental breakfast, I truly felt at "home" - even if I was several hours away from home. I highly recommend the Foxberry Inn and we are looking forward to seeing John and his staff next summer!

Room Tip: Make reservations well in advance to ensure proper date and time.

From booking, to the final ride to the airport, John G. Was the perfect, and most gracious, host. Staying at guesthouses for the last 10 years can say his breakfasts are the absolute BEST!

The owner, John, has taken what was once a shabby motel in a quite and beautiful tidal basin location and turned it into a fabulous home away from home. Actually, it's alot nicer then my home with its Serta Presidential bed, amazing cotton sheets, quiet surroundings, great sunsets, and an amazing homemade breakfast that changes everyday.
