My husband and I just returned from a long weekend retreat here. We highly recommend staying here if you go to p-town. The room was great...just one block away from all the action on commercial street but still far enough away if you want a nice peaceful getaway. Breakfast is served every morning beginning at 8:30 but they have a few things out earlier than that if you prefer to eat earlier like yogurt pafait, muffins, fruit, breads, coffee, and juice. They have that days breakfast menu listed and they make the food to your specifications. We will definitely return again!!!

The staff were lovely and the hotel is in a perfect location. We stayed in the Virginia Wolfe room and it was clean, cozy and a had a good view. We also loved the romantic patio! We would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here two nights in June with our mothers. The Gabriels is a peaceful oasis located in walking distance to the heart of Provincetown. The property is made up of approximately four buildings that surround a tranquil courtyard with seating and a koi pond. A delicious breakfast is provided daily with pastries you can grab and go or made to order entrees. Our room, WIllow, was located on the second floor. It has a small balcony with a reclining couch porch swing that we sat in every evening before dinner. The moms stayed in Michael Patrick which has two bedrooms with a door separating them and two baths. Michael Patrick would be an excellent room for a small family that wants privacy from the kids. All in all, we loved our stay. We were sad to leave and are already planning our return.

First the positives. Great location. Comfortable lodging. Delicious breakfast.

The negative is a big one for me. Very unwelcoming front desk. Generally when staying in a lodging like this, there is a pleasant greeting, information, maybe even polite conversation but during our experience there was a young man sitting at the front desk who barely moved out of his seat let alone say hello. It was an odd feeling to have driven all day, be excited to settle into our room, walk into Gabriel’s and have this guy say nothing. Absolutely nothing. He just stared. He did the same thing when my husband entered a few minutes later. Total silence. He was working the next evening and again, greeted by silence when we returned to Gabriel’s. Of note, his eyes constantly returned to his monitor where we could hear a movie or tv program playing. I’m not sure if this person needs more training or just is not suited for this type of work but it definitely tainted our experience there.

Overall this hotel is incredibly charming, as was our beautiful room. The grounds are unique and interesting and laid out for relaxation and to make guest feel welcome. They serve a nice breakfast with great coffee, and yummy cookies in the afternoon. Being only a block from down town makes it's location exceptional and quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know going to Provencetown MA.

My wife and I spent our thirtieth adversity night here and I can not thank them enough for wonder experience.

Room tip: Just pick one, they are all different.
