This was my first solo vacation, and it was near perfection. Dyer's Beach House is immaculate, well kept, and all the rooms have a spectacular view of the ocean. While not lavish or extravagant, it is very nicely appointed and extremely comfortable. I am already fantasizing about my next just-me vacation at Dyer's.

Dyers Beach House
We had planned a weekend getaway in Ptown at the start of off season and found it to be surprisingly busy. My travel buddy wanted to stay within walking distance of the main drag, but not in the thick of it, and Dyers was in a perfect location! It was on Commercial Street, but tucked away with a neat little court yard and right on the water... so felt so private and contained as a result. It was also very "hands off" which really helped to the low-key and private vibe we were looking for. We booked via Expedia, and not long after we received a nice message from them explaining if we arrived between certain times where would key would be, and if we needed them to call us, and that coffee was available in the office area, as well as umbrellas and bottles of water.

We stayed in room five, which is on the top floor and faces the ocean. Our room had a nice sized bathroom, with a good sized shower (think technically a double but with one shower head). The room had a twin and a double bed, a small fridge, TV, AC and a cute sitting area and closet. We had a balcony with two high top chairs and table to look over the beach and ocean - which was magical! Also at the front door of the room, we had another two seats facing the court yard in the direction of Commercial Street.

The property was kept immaculately, and while I certain the property saw a lot of traffic during the peak of the busy season, it was well maintained and the owners obviously spent a lot of time on upkeep. It was absolutely amazing to crack the slider and listen to the ocean at night, or during the day when we came back from our adventures before we went out for dinner. The entire time I was there I was thinking about coming back again!

We've been coming for a few years now (week prior to Memorial Day) ---- and we always look forward to our stay! As all previous reviews state --- great location, views and great hosts (Liz and Jan) and awesome rooms! Upon return each year it is fun to see their yearly upgrades! On our first visit --- the entrance to Dyers Beach House is easy to miss as it is an "alleyway" off Commercial Street --- but directly across from Winthrop Street. We find taking Rt 6, pass the PTown Exit, and continue to next lights --- take left onto Shank Painter Road (gas station / food store on right). Continue to end of Shank Painter Road, take left, and then second right onto Winthrop Street. At end of Winthrop Street, "alleyway" to Dyers is straight ahead (one must "cross" Commercial Street). NOTE: After one takes the left at the end of Shank Painter Road, there is a "very small street" on the right prior to Winthrop St...... I know once you stay here you will want to stay here again --- we did, and look forward to returning each year!

Room Tip: All rooms have awesome views --- but we prefer a ground / end level --- more light thru the side windows

Thank you so much for your kind review. So many of our guests return each year and we love to see each and every one. Dyer's Beach House sits in a spectacular location on the harbor in town. We hope to see you once we warm up.

Well what can we say, IT WAS PERFECT! Location, comfort throughout and friendly hosts! Liz and Jan make it perfect for anyone from anywhere. The rooms are well appointed with plenty of plush bath towels, and beach towel to take to use on their semi private beach on the bay. The rooms have comfortable mattresses and bedding with great water pressure in the shower! We have stayed in a few rooms and each has its own experience. watching the tides go in and out from our balcony or terrace is awesome. Your really can't go wrong staying at Dyer's Beach House! Its our "go to" in Ptown!

Room Tip: Book early, stay on the lower level if you want to lay out and tan!

My friends and I have been spending the last weekend in June in PTown for the past 7 years. This was our 3rd year at the Dyer's Barn on Winthrop St. The condo is perfect for us, 3 BR, 2 1/2 bath, full kitchen and big deck. It has always been spotless and well maintained and Jan always has a smile at the ready whenever we see her. We've been extending our trip to also enjoy the Provincetown Film Festival which is the 3rd week in June. Very enjoyable. We've booked for 2017 already!!! Thanks Jan and Liz!
