While the bathroom and sheets were clean, the carpet was not. Our feet were literally black after walking around in bare feet. And housekeeping did not make up the room even though we were not there between 10A and 3:30P.

We had to find a place near Providence on our way to Cape Cod. Clarion Inn was a great find. Very reasonable and clean, and had a great breakfast. We brought our dog but they have no dog-friendly rooms left so they gave us a large handicap room.

Very personable people at the desk. This place would also be ideal if you are visiting Providence and can't get a room downtown. It's an easy drive to the East Side and Brown.

Glad we chose Clarion!

Room Tip: First floor off lobby.

My husband and I needed a room for one night, as we were visiting our son who lives in Fall River. We were able to book this hotel, and got a great rate, with free breakfast and free WIFI. The room was clean, but a little dated. The pillows were pretty uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean, and up-to-date. It is in a convenient location to get on and off of 195. The breakfast was pretty good, with waffles, scrambled eggs and all kinds of cereal. A good hotel for the price.

Recently stayed at the Clarion Inn for business and pleasure and the hotel is consistently wonderful! Bed was comfy, breakfast has new treats! They have a regular waffle maker(I know this might not sound so exciting for some), but Now they have a mini one too which is great for the kids! They've improved on the eggs. They taste delicious now. And they offer free coffee in the lobby, which is great for those of us who drink coffee throughout the day. You can order food from the restaurant that is connected to the hotel and either have them bring it up or go get it yourself. I suggest just having them bring it up because the restaurant seems to be a bit slow. You'll have to wait the same amount of time anyways. Or you can go down and grab a bite to eat and get a 10% discount on the bill while you are there. And there's tons of convenient shopping close by. And the prices at this hotel are very good. If you are on a budget and want a nice place to stay with great amenities, come check this hotel out. You will be happy you did!

Room Tip: second floor rooms seem to be quieter, but they don't have an elevator! So please take that into consideration.

We stayed at the Clarion Inn as part of a wedding group along with several families. I had requested four rooms. Unfortunately, the hotel booking system did not have flexibility when booking as part of a group and my four room confirmation showed just one room. I did contact the Clarion several times to confirm the four rooms as it made me uneasy to not have their written confirmations. I was right to be concerned as we had a bit of a mix up with the rooms as the families with children were assigned to king size rooms. The hotel was completely sold out of double queen rooms, but, we were able to get the rooms changed before the family arrived. The Clarion billing issue was very confusing. My room confirmation The rooms were interesting. I remember this hotel from 50 years ago. Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do to remodel low ceilings and small rooms. This hotel does not have an elevator. Our king size first floor room was in need of remodeling...peeling wall paper, old / mixed styles of furniture, dated bathroom fixtures. The families in the double queens had rooms that were in much better shape on the second floor. The pluses to this hotel are lovely landscaping throughout the grounds, great fire pit area (pit was not working), lots of indoor/outdoor seating, well maintained courtyard, fantastic extra large heated indoor pool with access to landscaped outdoor area, friendly pub that is part of the hotel, better than average breakfast with different meats featured each day and staffed by efficient, friendly folks. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens and decent towels. We had booked this hotel three months prior to our arrival. Our nightly rate was $129.00, $169.00 and $199.00 for Saturday night. I think the $129.00 was a fair price for this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room to avoid the stairs.
