We have just returned from a week's holiday in Trevawood cottage. The information and direction details from Gail were brilliant, very thorough and we found the cottage easily. I have never stayed in such a well equipped self catering holiday home , not once did I think I wish I had brought such and such as everything you could possibly need was there! The site itself is lovely and quiet , with wonderful walks through woodland , a nice pool and a reasonably priced clubhouse. As a base the cottage is ideally situated for a host of tourist spots such as Lands End and St Michaels Mount. A bus calls into the site which takes you down into St Ives for £4.50 per adult return which took the strain of navigating the tight streets of this beautiful town.
Places that we found nice to eat nearby :
Salt in Hayle , simple tasty menu with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Antoninis in Hayle , a very traditional Italian . Small menu but had something for all four of us to choose.
The Mex , my teenagers favourite! The set menu for a minimum of 2 people is superb value and everything was nicely spicy and filling .

“Well equipt cottage and a wonderful base”

We stayed in the cottage for a week with our children aged 3 and 6 and they were amazed about the books, dvds and beach equipment that was there for their use. If I had known I could have travelled much lighter. The same can be said for all the additional things I had brought such as cleaning products and food wrap as there was plenty of these available for use should you require them.
The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us and the site had lots to offer should you require it. We used the swimming pool and club room and we also did the woodland walk which we all enjoyed and followed the questions along the trail. As for location is it close to the A30 and is only a short drive from supermarkets and beaches.
I would not hesitate in recommending it to friends.

“One of the best holidays ever”

Well what can I say. The cottage has everything you need for a really enjoyable stay, Down to a travel cot and bed gaurd for little ones if you need it, to a spade and net for exploring rock pools (which we did) Theres books in case you forget yours and a few board games. Theres a heater in every room in case it gets a bit chilly. Me and my wife slept really well and the kids must have been comfy because we had to keep waking them up to go out!
The cottage itself is in a lovely location and it is so nice to open the front door and have trees and land in front of you instead of a caravan or another cottage a few metres away. The woodland walk is great and my kids loved tying to spot different animals in there.
We went in the pool just the once and it's a nice pool but to be honest we only used it once as we were out and about all the time. The Stripeys are a great laugh and really make you laugh at night and our kids thought they were hilarious, and all the bar staff etc are really nice as well.
One great aspect to the cottage is the location, you are close to St Ives, Lands End, St Michaels Mount etc. and with the weather being so nice for us we were out every day.
Fantastic value for money and we will definitley be back

“Good value for money in St Ives!”

Homely-styled chalet in a holiday park - very convenient, just next to a woodland walk which my kids absolutely love! Owner was very thoughtful with the available items in the chalet and problem with the TV on/off was also quickly responded to. Children enjoyed the pool despite small glitch with the shower being freezing cold when started, but was quickly sorted. Changing area for pool not great as no lockers and shower splashes to changing area. This primarily limits our use of pool. But excellent location to the attractions we were interested in, Minack Theatre, Porthcurno, Lizard, Land's end etc - which are spectacular. A slight issue was that some items in the chalet were a little dusty and some dog hair on the sheet protectors... probably we are the first to use since winter. Overall fantastic value for money and will definitely try to visit again if visiting Cornwall!

Our 2nd stay here and love it!Ideaal location for exploring St Ives and also close to Hayle and Penzance which offer amazing coastal walks! The cottage is perfectly situated in a quiet part of the park surrounded by woodland and is a comfortable size property and nicely decorated and well equipped. Our favourite spot was the Watermill inn a mile down the road and walkable
It has a lovely beer garden and is dog friendly and our 9 year black lab cross was very fond of the stream for cooling his pads at the end of a days walking !, A perfect chill out holiday enjoyed by all and we will return next year !!

Reviewed 22 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

lovely chalet, VERY clean, beds nice and comfy, very well equipped, high chair, bed guard and travel cot if you've got little ones, folding chairs for sitting on the patio, games/books/ colouring pens for the kids, lovely quiet site although we struggled to find it, might want to go on net and get a phone number, club was good fun, swimming pool has a flume, beaches nearby are a must (as are all the beaches in cornwall) overall we had a great holiday, would not hesitate in booking to go here again, great value for money :)
