My husband and I went to Bergamot to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary! What a great and pleasant place! We loved the atmosphere. The staff is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The waitress told us that the sheff puts only local ingriediensts on the plate and the restaurant has established a great collaboration with farmers and fishermen in the area.

We ordered duck confit leg , salmon, sword fish with faro and goat cheese ravioli and finished our charming evening with the cream brûlée and apple pie! Every single dish was tasty, beautifully put together, well portioned and reasonably priced.I am planing to go back for a sheff tasting menu and also wants to bring my son and his wife. I am glad I discovered this amazing local gem!!!! Awesome and cozy place to celebrate!

We went there as part of their LivingSocial deal for a five course chef tasting for $85, and is currently on their typical menu for $130. I'd say we got our money's worth with the deal, but would have certainly overpaid if we went there on our own.

Each of the courses were pretty good. The pork was good, but nothing to write home about. The gnocchi, swordfish, and brown butter ice cream however were the stars of the meal. We are still talking about those dishes today!

The setting is quaint. It's a small space as part of a strip mall. They have a small parking lot to the left of the building, but it only holds about 15 cars. We were lucky enough to get a spot but someone came in as we parked and was relegated to street parking.

Overall it was good, but certainly pricey for the food that you get.

We had a 5 course tasting menu that was fabulous. Not teeny tiny portions. Felt fully satisfied at the end. It's chef's choice, which was perfectly fine with us....really looking forward to returning!

We visited Bergamot with our friends, who live in the area and are regulars. Perhaps this meant that we got special treatment, but as I looked around, it seemed that everyone in the restaurant was getting the same sort of individual attention that we were. The staff was knowledgeable and amenable, and had recommendations at the ready. The bar director recommended wines with each course, and we were encouraged to ask and taste if we weren't familiar with anything. In sum, we felt very well taken care of here.

But let's talk about the food. All four of us decided to go for seafood, and what seafood it was. Ladyfriend got the Scallop Ceviche, which featured a cantaloupe/cucumber relish, and a kohlrabi carpaccio huacate sauce that was just out of this world. Our friends got the Grilled Swordfish and Rainbow Trout, respectively (the former was served with dill/watermelon radish pickle, a panisse, and a bonito buerre blanc, and the latter with rice tabbouleh, bacon, baby bok choi, and roasted grapes). Both were incredible. I opted for the Striped Bass a la Plancha, which was served with a potato latke, green beans, a shallot confit, and a peach chutney. All of the plates made their way around the table, and we were hard pressed to determine which among these incredible dishes was the best. We ended the meal by splitting the dessert referred to on the menus imply as "Strawberries!", which includes grilled angel food cake, candied pine nuts, and creme fraiche.

I'll include pictures of the menu to give a sense of the sort of thing on offer here, but I am sure that the menu changes frequently. If you're in the area, you simply must check out Bergamot.
