The food and the people make this place a go to spot. Best for breakfast, or brunch the food is freshly prepared and the staff is really attentive. Busy Sunday AM, but the tables turn over often. Huge thumbs up!

I had lunch today and the place was very crowded @ noon..Only seating available was the counter. But, two gentleman got up from their table and offered it to my friend and myself. They sat at the counter for their lunch. That's how friendly everyone is !!! Great sandwiches, not skinny fries, perfect wait staff. Good specials. A real, down home country place on RT 30 in Southboro. I have only had lunches at Mauro's, but every review mentions how great their breakfasts are...Give it a try...a local setting next door to a small country market. Ask for Jessie to be your waitress. She has the best smile, courteous and friendly w/out being pushy...or too talkative.. It's next to railroad tracks and one went by as we were eating...Made for a perfect day !!!!

We are visiting in a new-to-us town. Yesterday we drove up and down Rt 9 looking for a decent breakfast place - finally gave up and just got some oatmeal at McDonald's. Today we consulted Trip Advisor - should have thought of that yesterday! - and saw the recommendations for Mauro's. Two thumbs up! It has about 15 tables (as well as a counter with stools) in a room comfortably paneled with knotty pine. The food was tasty, and the portions were huge - we brought half of it away with us. The waitress was friendly and thorough. One of the cooks saw my husband's Red Sox cap and, during a lull, came over to talk baseball. We enjoyed our meal and would definitely come here again if we're in the area again.

The atmosphere here is great. It really has the small town feel, where everyone is kind to each other. The wait staff is great. The food is always great. I have had a burger and waffles here on separate occasions. The waffles were some of the best ever. The burger is a very good size at a very reasonable price. Overall, defiantly a place worth eating.
