We ran into no traffic on Saturday, September 26th, during the Big E run. Our 30 minute wait was spent at the furniture store next door, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed Chicken Parm, unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks, and took home ravioli. The drinks were kept full, the wine sampled, but no pressure, and the place was pretty busy. You pay AT the table with the electronic device. Great service!

It was my Dad's Birthday. We ordered water with lemon, but water tasted aweful. Waitress looked nice, but when we asked for something she was mean. They are charging extra if you want t share you soup or salad, even for kids. Sweet Peach Iced Tea taste like unsweet. The amount of food on a plate smaller then others' Olive Garden. Zupa looks different, more clear then white. Chicken Gnocchi was fine. We upgraded Fettuchini Alfredo for shrimps, paid extra $3.79 and got 5-6 shrimps. My friends' Fet. Alf. looked and tasted dry. They are trying to save their money on everything. We also didn't get green napkins. I would never go there again. We were really disappointed.

On our own for diners at a festival in West Springfield, we decided to try Olive Garden. We had not been to an Olive Garden in years, and had previously found the menu uninspired. Still, we had also heard that Olive Garden was "making some changes", so we decided to try it again. We are also always looking for places where we can find something that will squeeze into our health concerns.

We entered to a light and breezy atmosphere. The decor was much lighter than we recalled from earlier experiences. The reception staff were cheerful and friendly and had us seated very quickly.

The menu(s) abounded with interesting dishes. We finally settled on Salad (for her) and soup (for him) and the same pasta dish (with whole grain linguini). We also decided on a glass of wine (white for him, red for her).

The salad was enough to serve both of us amply, and the soup was a nicely-sized bowl, not a cup. The salad greens were crisp and the dressing tasty and light. The linguini dish was very good, with the only drawback being that it was huge. One serving would have served both of us with left-overs.

Despite this, we returned later in the week for a second go at Olive Garden. This time we selected sea-food dinners dinners with angel hair pasta. Again, the sizes were 'way too big. When we talked with the waiter about this, he said we should ask for the lunch size serving or simply split the entree. (As we were on the road, we could not have taken the left-overs with us to eat the next day.)

The wine servings are described in an unusual (to us) way, i.e., by volume. Not being one who carries that kind of info in my head, I found this confusing. The tall glasses are deceptive in appearance, so that the smallest size appears to be quite small, but in actuality, the larger size is rather large. We enjoyed the wines, but it would be helpful for Olive Garden to make the sizes of the drinks clearer.

In all, we had two delicious meals at Olive Garden in Wet Springfield. We were seated right away each time, and the service was excellent and prompt. We have learned how to handle the serving size issue next time we try Olive Garden -- and we will do so before long!

After a day spent at the ocean we decided to stop in at our favorite restaurant chain for a nice dinner. There was 8 of us. Our waiter & waitress were exceptional to say the least. The food was phenomenal all around the table and of course the salad & bread sticks were delectable! A perfect ending to our enjoyable day.

For a chain, my expectations are not very high. We've been here for lunch a number of times and enjoy the soup and salad. Dinner was a pleasant surprise. We went during a weekday evening and the food and service were both efficient, and tasty. Both of us had a pasta dish which we both though for a chain was very good and reasonably priced. Will try this location again for dinner during the week.
