Worked for our family get-together

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 26, 2024via mobile
This is a small, quaint little resort that worked pretty well for our family reunion. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Summer pricing was pretty expensive, and you have to add a resort fee and a fee for parking to that every day. There were washers and dryers, but only one of each worked, and there was no way to tell how long a cycle was to figure out how much time was left on someone else’s washing and drying before you could get yours in. Supposedly, repairs were “on the docket”. We also stayed in what was apparently the main original structure on the property, which is apparently slated for updating this off-season. We had to kick the front door to be able to get it to open, and the door handle fell off the bathroom door. Our room had a large living area, but not really a lot of furniture in it. The back deck with the best view was shared with the center unit next-door. The door locking mechanisms on the front and back door are crazy; if you push the button to lock it, they have to get a master key to unlock it, which I didn’t find out till after I pushed the button. Made sure not to push the button in the back door, then found out that that one locks automatically behind you anyways.
Having said all that, the pool was a big hit with our group, and the little mini golf area was nice also. The beach is wonderful, as long as the wind isn’t coming in. We couldn’t go on it the first couple of days due to the wind speed, but the last day was gorgeously beautiful. on the Bay side of our unit, we could see Osprey nests with the Ospreys out hunting for fish a lot. The back deck was also more sheltered from the wind.

We are so glad we chose this resort! We stayed in a Cape Codder for 4 because it was the most budget friendly option for us. Our unit was VERY clean. We were impressed by how well maintained the unit was, even though the furnishings were pretty out of date, it didn't bother us because of how well maintained and clean it was. We saw so many bunnies, crabs, seashells, and birds here. It was great! The grounds and the pool are meticulously maintained. The pool was heated which we were so grateful for because it was still early June and only around 70 degrees outside. My teenagers loved exploring the private beach area, playing shuffleboard, using the pool, and playing mini golf. All of the staff we talked to were very friendly and helpful. They even let us use their air compressor to inflate our innertubes. We stayed 4 nights and that really wasn't enough. We intend to come back and stay in a bigger unit with more bedrooms. The only real downside I found was the murphy beds mattress was very bouncy and not the best. But it could have been much worse. In hindsight I would have picked a room with all regular beds. I used the laundry room during our stay also. It had 2 washers and 2 dryers. I am guessing it gets pretty busy in the laundry facility during the summer so adding more machines and lighting outside of the door would be nice. We were using it after dark, and it was very dark outside the room. The front desk had laundry detergent, so we were able to get a couple of extra detergent pods from them when we ran out. Hopefully we can come back here, and I will definitely be recommending it to people.

I have not been there since before Covid and was disappointed in the interior. The mattress was very old and not supportive. Even the sofa bed was the same since 4 years ago and was very worn and very hard to slt or sleep on.

Room tip: It you are looking for a wonderful view but the rooms are run down this is your place

Second time at this resort and booked for next year! Perfect location close to restaurants and shopping, but at the end of a side street making it quaint and quiet. The resort is small, which is perfect to run to the beach and back to the room as needed; heated pool is fantastic! The hotel is nice, spacious and clean, but could use updating, especially kitchen area and headboards/lighting fixtures. Awesome staff!! Love this place!

This resort was literally perfect. A relaxed and chill vibe (although we went end of June, so maybe didn’t hit peak season). The heated pool was beautiful, the beach is steps away. We played mini golf, took out a canoe, and rode bikes. The staff are all so nice and helpful. We had a full kitchen, so we made breakfast and lunch every day, then went out for supper. SO FUN! Definitely planning to head back! AND! Don’t sleep on the nearby Whydah pirate museum. It was very unexpectedly amazing!

Room tip: Plan to cook breakfast and lunch so you don’t have to drive out. There’s no restaurant on the property.

Just returned from a wonderful stay. This was our first time staying here and we’ll definitely be back! A few things that stood out - the location was perfect. Close enough proximity to everything mid-Cape, the resort is right off rt 28 but off the beaten path so it feels like you’re staying in a more remote area. The other thing that stands out is that it’s a perfect place for young families - so much to do right on property that we didn’t feel like we had to leave! Our kids loved the playground and the pool, and of course the beach right there. Is it the best beach on the Cape? Probably not, but it’s flat and sandy and perfect for building sand castles and letting mom and dad relax in the provided beach chairs. Sometimes that’s all you want because it makes things so EASY for us tired parents. A final note, the staff was awesome. You can tell they take great care of the grounds and rooms throughout each day. Already looking into coming back for another stay!
