Old, tired and not well maintained. Original 1960's motel that has seen much better days! Room was musty and cold on an 80 degree day. Tried to open the front windows but one side did not open and the ac unit was held in place by the back window. Couldn't warm the place up or get rid of the musty smell. Staff was friendly.

My husband and I stayed here for weekend, to celebrate our anniversary. basically only needed a place to sleep, I will admit little outdated but was perfect for couple of nights.
Also liked that there was a restaurant within walking distance.

At this moment, we are sitting in a very quaintly room enjoying a decorative lecturing stove. Did I fail to mention a hot tub that helped soothe some sore muscles from a hike or two?

Anyway, there are a few suites available that even the late actor, Christopher Reeve stated in.

you will have to eat at the "6" restaurant. Great rugged atmosphere with good food.
Ale this your next stay in Williamstown.

We have stayed here at least twice, and the rating almost went to "poor". The rooms need better lighting, the lawn and grounds need a lot more attention and mowing, the dining room is dark. The place is basically clean, the food is basically okay(but why charge for bread, even if it is listed as such on the menu?), and the staff is basically okay. There just seems to be a lack of energy or care; we are doing this in our sleep and given the near by competition we are going to wake up and be surprised people are going elsewhere.

I am not used to the next room with the TV on until 11pm, and then again at 6am, and then the party is gone well before 8am. It was strange at best, and it bothered the otherwise very quiet night. There was not anyone around to complain to and who maybe was aware of what was going on.

We spent several miserable nights here in August. The motel rooms have a strong mildew odor (probably due to the fact that the bathrooms do not have exhaust fans) and the rooms are dark and poorly lit. After three nights, I couldn't sleep on my side anymore...the mattress padding is so thin that the mattress coils left bruises on my hips. Spouse, too. We will never stay here again.

The front office staff and the breakfast crew deserve compliments. Nevertheless, do not stay here.
