Last weekend, my parents checked into the Proctor Mansion Inn and they were pleasantly surprised at the large rooms and open space to which guests had access. I reside in Wrentham and passed by the mansion, but am ashamed to say that I never stopped in. Not only is it a cultural center in the area, it is within walking distance to anything you need (surrounding the town square and featuring gorgeous foliage during the Fall season). The original architecture, easy parking (free) and warm chocolate chip cookies that greet each guest make it all the more memorable, not to mention the free breakfast! The classical music played throughout the home will transcend you to another time and place.
Many thanks to Deri for offering interesting anecdotes about the history of the mansion and the town itself. And for the gracious hospitality...More
