We just spent 3 nights with a large group (10 adults, 10 kids). We utilized two rustic cabins, one deluxe cabin, a pop up trailer site, and an RV full hook up site. Everything was VERY clean, and staff was very accommodating!!! Our rustic cabin was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean and comfortable, after seeing the deluxe cabin we will probably upgrade to that next time, it was so nice! The kids have an amazing time in the pool, the playground, the putt putt course, the mining, and especially the train rides.
The campground was VERY quiet at night, especially during the week. We had a large group, we were not overly rambunctious just 20 people talking and laughing, but we were asked to quiet down at 10pm on Thursday night. Again, most people probably love the quiet we were just caught off guard by how quiet it was even on the weekend.
Great location, 25 min to downtown Traverse, hour to Pyramid Point, 45 min to Glenn Arbor/Empire if you are looking to go beyond the campground.
This was our first stay at a KOA and we will defiantly return!! Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond to help ensure amazing memories for our family!More
