A great place for a family or just to go see for yourself. Worth the time to see while in Grand Rapids Michigan.

This is a great museum for all ages. My husband and I went with my parents who are in their 70’s and we all enjoyed the museum’s various exhibits. It definitely has displays for young children too, so I wouldn’t hesitate to bring the whole family. Three floors of history and plenty of hands on opportunities to explore. The museum sits on the rivers edge and provides a beautiful view of the river from inside the museum on every level.

The food and wine expo at the Grand Rapids public museum is an event not to miss. The food and wine at this event is enough to bring a crowd in but the venue makes it extra special. The entire museum is full of food and wine along with live music. The view of the grand river and all of the museum artifacts makes this an event that beyond any other in the area.

The museum combines local history with fun activities. Ride the carousel, pretend to go on a train ride in the streets of Grand Rapids, or check out the changing exhibits. There is always something new to see.

I brought my 14 yr old for the mythical creatures exhibit. We’ve been to this museum several times over the years, I like that they try to change out a few exhibits at a time. Anytime we come for a seasonal exhibit, there’s at least 1 or 2 other things new to peek at as well. Nice & close to several other fun things to do in GR, including bats & restaurants. We will continue to frequent the GRPM. Love that the carousel is only $1 too!
