Nice hotel. Needs some TLC. Has the old heavy steel doors in the corridors that need painting. Pool was dirty. No shade in the pool area. Breakfast was good and the worker kept everything clean and stocked. Cheap fiberglass tub had a crack in it. Room looked to be recently renovated. (not sure what happened to the tub?) Ample parking and well lit. Worth the price we paid. Nothing or no one really stood out.

Paid $200 plus tax for a smelly, dirty hallway and not so great room. Only good thing was the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was just so-so. Might be ok for around $65, but not worth the high weekend rates!

I was a bit hesitant to stay here after reading the other reviews. It ended up being better than I expected! The hotel has been remodeled with updated furniture. The only complaints that I have is that the sheets on one bed were stained and the comforter on the other bed had a dirty spot on it. I just didn't use the comforter. There is not an elevator so keep that in mind. Also, the breakfast attendant we had was rude and pushy including ripping a serving spoon out of my hand because apparently I'm too incompetent to place it back in the holder! Overall, good stay with comfortable beds and I'd stay here again. We did not use the pool. We ate at the Chinese restaurant in the parking lot and it was really good.

This is our first visit to Holland, as a Choice member, this location seemed reasonably priced and good location. Right off 31, access to the hotel is quick & easy. There is no doubt this hotel is old. Pulling up, we were a bit uneasy. However our room was updated and clean. It should be noted there is not an elevator (although a cart!) The outdoor pool was good for kids, it could use a quick cleaning, but it was refreshing for kids. Although the handrails in the pool need fixing, not quite a safety hazard, but would hate to see someone fall. Front desk staff was friendly. The breakfast was a nice surprise, very well maintained & good variety. Overall, good for the price, and we slept comfortably.

My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. We stayed 3 nights (Fri-Mon). We had a first floor room at the end of the hallway. Furniture had recently been updated but the hotel itself we found to be average. The walls were banged up and a large a crack in the floor of the tub. Those things didn't bother us as much as the fact that the exterior door at the end of the hall (just outside our room) didn't latch. It required a key card for entry but that served no purpose as the door wouldn't even latch shut. We tried pulling it and pushing it to get it to latch but it appeared that it had been damaged. Thankfully we didn't have any issues as a result but unsettling none-the-less. Despite the broken door and run down appearance of the hotel the bed was incredibly comfortable and although our window looked out on the highway we didn't hear much road noise with the fan running in the room. The room was large and so was the bathroom.
On a less positive note, we were disgusted to discovered a filthy dirty pillow case covered in what appeared to be foundation after housekeeping had serviced the room which was a bit of a turn off. There were cobwebs hanging from the curtains throughout our entire stay and cobwebs on the light outside our room.
We were also surprised to discover that breakfast closes at 9:00 on weekdays. We were told at check-in (Friday night) that breakfast went until 10:00 which is true but he neglected to mention that it ends at 9:00 on weekdays (our last morning was Mon.). There is a sign posted at the front desk but with the location of our room we rarely passed the front desk but rather used the *broken* door at the end of our hall. Additionally the sign at the front desk can't be seen from the breakfast area.
The front desk manager was very understanding as we expressed our concerns while checking-out and adjusted our bill but these issues still impacted our stay and overall impressions of the hotel. Even with an adjustment to our bill I felt that we overpaid for the accommodations.

Room Tip: First floor - no elevator
