You'd think if a skee-dew reservation place tells you. "If you come at 1pm we have two skee-dews for you." and then you get there and they have given away your two skee-dews. You'll find they are a pretty terrible rental place, who can't even manage to write names down.

Room Tip: Don't go here.

Family-friendly and with all the amenities one could possibly want for a memory-making family vacation spot, LLRV is a well-managed family camping locale. We are able to leave our camper unlocked, people respect one another's privacy, no late-night shenanigans go on (again, family friendly), and it's a great place to bring a family. Our family had been coming for 25 years and it is the one thing we continue to come back to every year without fail. We know the owners and employees, we can take a bag of ice in the night and report it to be charged to our account, they will park your camper for you (with no judgement!), and it's just a nice place for continuity and memory-making.

We stayed here for 4 nights over the 4th of July. Our site was great, we had a nice view of the lake. We were at site 163, there are a few nicer ones that don't have campers blocking your view but we were happy to get this one. We rented a pontoon boat on July 3rd for the 4th and was shocked that it was available. We had a great time on the lake! The owners and employees were very friendly and helpful. There were a LOT of kids around our site, we were right across from the small beach area. They didn't obey the "quiet time" the first few nights but they quieted down around 11:30 so it wasn't a big deal. Sites are tight, very little room for parking your vehicle. We could see fireworks set off by people across the lake and they were awesome! It was nice not to have leave the campground and fight the crowds to watch fireworks. We love this area and we were very close to everything! The majority of sites are seasonal rentals which we usually don't like because we feel like we are "invading" their community but I have to say, we didn't feel like this at all here. Everyone was very nice. Only downside was the wi-fi. On my receipt it clearly says wi-fi included at no extra charge. When I tried to connect, my choices were $5 a day per device or $20 a week per device. It allowed 15 minutes of free wi-fi per device. I didn't bring it up to the owners because it wasn't a big deal but you should be aware that even though your receipt says no charge, there is a charge. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Lakefront sites are the best. Quieter away from beach area.

Stayed at the park for a week. It was a great experience. Friendly staff, very clean, and right on the lake. One night we had a horrible storm come in from Lake Michigan. By 8 am the park staff was out cleaning up the branches and leaves. They also offer a small marina, beach, and boat rentals! Finally, they are located in the perfect spot surrounded by vineyards, quaint towns, and bike trails. Recommend.

Right from the front entrance to this campground, we had a great first impression. There is a large fountain and a beautiful log cabin lodge with nicely landscaped grounds. The lady who registered us was very friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site by two men on a golf cart and they stayed and guided us as we backed into our space and helped us get situated. They picked up trash daily at each campsite, offered an ice cream social at the lodge, nightly wagon rides for kids, boat rentals on Lake Leelanau (although there are only 2 pontoons so reserve early), a beach, ping pong and tennis at the lodge, and they had the cleanest bathrooms/showers I've ever seen at a campground! There were 10 individual bathrooms with showers rather than one large communal room and we loved the privacy! Guests were all very respectful and friendly! Great place for dog owners-lots of people had dogs and we took our 2 with us as well! Located in Lake Leelanau close to Leland and Sutton's Bay and only about a half hour from Traverse City. They let you charge things (like firewood) to your bill and pay when you check out so you aren't constantly having to pay for things during your stay. There was great cell signal too, although not needed with such natural beauty! Highly recommend this place!
