Best value anywhere in Lansing. Our room was pristine. Free Wifi and parked for free 50 steps from our room. If you are in mid Michigan check these folks out. Right off the freeway and close to all dining, shopping, etc. friendly night manager Jim went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Nice work.

New property; clean, nice. Good breakfast buffet included. It is located close to a mall with shopping and restaurants, and has convenient access to downtown and University. Overall good place to overnight.

My husband and I tried to check in to our reserved room at Residence Inn next door at 4 pm on a Friday. We were told they needed to check with housekeeping, that our room was still dirty. Check-in time technically starts at 3, but we didn't mind; we opted to go out for an early dinner instead. Partly to through our meal we received a call informing us that some guests had opted to stay another night and so our room was unavailable, and for "no additional cost" to have we would be moved to Fairfield Inn next door.

We arrived at Fairfield and I will say Jim at the front desk was very kind and efficient. But when we checked in we discovered to our dismay that instead of a King Suite with full kitchen as we had reserved at Residence, we were tossed into a small double Queen room with only a mini fridge and not even a microwave! We were told that was the only room available and that the hotel was fully booked. Unfortunately there was an event in the area that we had to attend the next day or else we would probably not have stayed.

There were people, both children and adults, in the hallway all night which were easily heard, and no hotel staff ever tried to enforce any type of after 11 curfew for the benefit of the guests trying to get some rest. It was not a good night.

I will say the breakfast had a fairly good spread and I appreciated they had the option of soy milk for my coffee.

Overall I was very dissatisfied with my stay and no one tried to remedy the situation, just basically that we had to live with it.

Dear Veronica U,
Thank you for taking the time to review the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lansing West. I'm very sorry that your original reservation at the Residence Inn was cancelled at that our hotel did not meet the needs you had. I can imagine how frustrating that must have been. I hope that if you are ever back in the area, you will consider allowing us to host you.

Sincerely,
Julie B.

Stayed at the Fairfield for a conference this past week. Was very impressed with the service, room cleanliness, and complimentary breakfast. I was also very happy to see soy milk & vegetarian options in the breakfast options. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the Lansing West Fairfield on our second night on the long drive home from Florida. It exceeded our expectations, from the welcoming Jim on the front desk, to the bright and well decorated lobby/ breakfast room, to the large, clean, comfortable room. The only thing to make it better would have been a lounge chair to watch TV. Thanks for a great stay!

On the day of our arrival, I called late afternoon to let the front desk know we would be arriving late. It was no problem and our reservation was flagged for late arrival. The gentleman at the front desk (Jim?) was very friendly and upbeat when I called. He was also the same when we arrived later that evening. Upon check-in he informed us that breakfast was usually served at 7am on Sundays, but because of all the volleyball players staying at the Fairfield that night who had to be on he courts as early as 7:15am Sunday, they would be serving breakfast that Sunday beginning at 5:30am to accommodate us. Wow, so nice! The breakfast was great - so many choices with which to fuel up on before hitting the volleyball courts. The front lobby was clean and neat. We were able to enjoy the main lobby/breakfast area while we enjoyed pizza/pop with our team when we arrived at the hotel Saturday night. As we rounded the corner to the elevator heading to our room, we could smell the chlorine from the pool. We didn't use the pool, but figured it must be pretty clean if we were smelling the chlorine in the hallway. Our room/bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated having a fridge to keep our water and Powerade cold for the next day. We appreciated the great customer service, clean accommodations and tasty breakfast - we certainly recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites Lansing West and would absolutely stay again!

Very clean room
The staff was very friendly and helpful
Beds were a little soft for my taste but my husband thought they were great.
A little disappointed with the pool area. The pool was only 4' deep at the deepest part, there were no stairs for our little one to get into the pool not that she would stay in it very long it was kind of cold.
All in all a nice place to stay and will definitely consider staying again
