“Beautiful Home close to all ammenities”
Reviewed November 19, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We loved the house and area. It was only a few blocks to downtown Lexington. We were able to walk or ride the bikes that the home owners provided. The home had plenty of
space and every thing you need. Nice backyard for the kids to play in.

“Everything we expected, and a little more!”
Reviewed September 22, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

First, the owner is very responsive to messages. When the home was ready earlier than expected, he allowed us to check in early. This is a large older home, well maintained and equipped. Located close to downtown Lexington, it is easy to walk to shopping, meals, etc. Golfers note, the 36 hole Lakeview Hills Golf Resort is minutes away and offers and enjoyable round for all levels of golfer. I would definitely return!

“The best vacation stay, ever”

First, this is a home, not just a house. It's not a fancy dress place. It's a place where you can find a way to unwind, let down your hair, respect the space, and sleep soundly. You can cook, clean, ride a bike on a tree-lined street, down to the store for food, relax down the street on the beach. It's a real vacation from busy-ness. Yes, there's the access to wi-fi and the television, but we didn't use that stuff until day 3 in our 7 day stay, and sparingly after that. I'm going to re-book for next year.

“Wonderful for children, young adults, and grandparents!”

Exceeded expectations! Loved the house, the neighborhood, and the lake. Especially recommend walking 2 blocks to the beach at the "sledding hill". Secluded, with a wide sandy beach and sandy lake bottom. House had EVERYTHING we needed, and very nice neighbors too! Owner was easily available by phone or text. We look forward to going back.

“Great house for a family vacation or a girlfriend get away.”

This is a great place for a family to stay for a vacation, but we were there for a girls get away. There were four of us and all said we'd love to come back. The dining room was great for meals and game night and we loved the sunroom to just hang out in. We knew nothing of Lexington before we came ... had planned on staying in Port Huron. We were all so glad we stumbled across this fun little town. Lots of great stores to shop in, good food and everyone was so friendly. The house is about a block away from Lake Huron and the town is within walking distance. Port Huron is just 20 minutes away with a mall, Barnes and Noble and a great, quaint coffee shop/bookstore/restaurant called The Raven!

“A Great Stay! We Wanted for Nothing!”
Reviewed October 12, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We had a family wedding in the area and we were looking for a place to stay leading up to and after the wedding. There were 6 of us occupying the 3 bedrooms and pull out couch. We prepared several meals at the house and the kitchen was well stocked with the pots and pans and utensils needed. Mornings and evenings were spent in front of the wood burning fireplace located in a very bright sun room. On the wedding day, we had the bride and her entourage at the house preparing themselves for the wedding as there was plenty of room. While taking pictures outside on the back deck, the neighbours offered us the use of their picturesque backyard. This was a very nice gesture and resulted in some great pictures just before the skies opened, lasting the rest of the day and ruining other picture opportunities. So thankful for nice neighbours. The owner was very personable and easily accessible when an issue with the wifi arose. It was quickly fixed and had no further issues throughout our stay.
We have friends/family in the area and we will definitely take advantage of this place again should we be staying for an extended time.

Liked best: The comfy feeling of home.
Liked least: The stairs leading to the bedrooms upstairs are older and very steep. Would not recommend them for older people but manageable for younger people. Those with disablilites would need to stay on first floor.
