We went up to Mackinac City to see the beautiful blue ice and had a very nice stay! We stayed in King Jacuzzi courtside room and it was very nice. Service was great, hotel and room were very clean and nice big breakfast in the morning. Very happy with out stay.

Other than the location what a hole. Dirty and had a odor. Stains on the carpets, old musty bedding, filthy bathroom. Arrogant staff that completely ignored us. Should have know better by just looking at the office at check in!

Room Tip: stay somewhere else

Triple A hooked me up with this place. Disgusting
Said it was a lake view suite. What I got was a old dirty set of attached tiny rooms with bugs. And the view. It was water but right above the end of a stagnant drainage ditch.
Only positive we’re the room help. Just about all island folk Jamaica mostly. They were great
That whole mackinac thing is a disappointment. Tourist trap. Never again.
Same trip. Loved Traverse City.

All depends on the room.
We stayed in July of this year. We had the room directly above the office. IT was wonderful. Clean, spacious, couldn't ask for more. It also had a hottub which my teenager thoroughly enjoyed. This was a 5 star stay. And very reasonably priced.

We stayed at this hotel the year before. The room we had was worn, paper peeling, nicks on the woodwork. Good view though of the bridge and lake. This was not a beachfront room although we had a nice view. I would give this room a 3-star.

Stayed back in 2014 and had a beachfront room. Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, and a great view. I would give this room a 5-star.

So it just depends on the room. THe staff has always been friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Morning breakfast is mediocre. I've had better...have had worse. What they offer has never changed in the 5 years we have stayed here. Juices tend to,be pretty watered down. They do a good job though of keeping the hot entrees filled.

Many people book this hotel and by early evening the hotel parking lot is already pretty filled. You may. Or be able to park near your room. I believe they have an overflow parking lot.

Room Tip: Lakeview room or ones above office. Parking lot fills quickly.

End of the season in Mackinaw getaway. The room has upgraded amenities and some curious details (the in room big screen HDTV is displaying an analog signal, the former tv cabinet/armoire sits empty in the room, the desk is simply absent). Pretty quiet stay except for some other discourteous patrons yelling and slamming doors. Has all the features that travelers could want while on vacation or during business trips. Some of the rooms have experienced harder wear than others. Perhaps the nicer rooms have undergone upgrades while the others have yet to receive such attention. Huge breakfast area with hot items and cereals, yogurt, fruits, bagels, muffins, great variety along with pleasant staff to oversee the area and patron requests. Overall a nice place to stay for a few days.

Room Tip: Book a room facing the lake for an amazing view.
