Arrived after 10 hour road trip from Varanasi, India to a wonderful warm welcome, clean room, hot water and very helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here and would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful, serene surroundings. We enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast.

Stayed one night during our pilgrimage. It was a very good hotel in Lumbini. It has all the needed basics including shower with adequate water pressure, air conditioning, working Wifi, restaurant with buffet style food., very good staff and service. There is a nice pond with a small Buddha statue in the middle.

After a long day travel, we (more than 50 of us) thought we would be checked into a nice or at least comfortable room with hot shower, especially, on our way to the hotel, we called them to ensure the hot water will be available....

However...
we were given 17 rooms without hot water, and after waiting for more than 2 hours (they said they were fixing and asked us to wait), finally they let us switched to other rooms, but some rooms were still not having any hot water.... So, instead of staying 2 nights, we decided that we cannot trust this hotel anymore and we checked out on the next morning.

Oh yes, those rooms without water were very run-down too... we were utterly disappointed with Maya Hotel.

Part of a nice chain of hotels, spotless and good food. Next to the entrance to the grounds. Booking may be necessary if a festival is on. They take all cards etc and the rooms are very modern. It is licensed.
