Stayed here for two nights as part of a Headwater walking holiday. Definitely the highlight in terms of location and view, food, ambience, service. Our route meant a trek up from the village, but instantly revived with a refreshing beer on the terrace. V comfortable rooms (22 has great views). Pre dinner drinks on the terrace and then an amazing meal, beautifully prepared and served. The hotel prides itself on home grown, eg veg and herbs and the flavours show this. Excellent breakfast too. Definitely plan to return.
