Person at counter not welcoming. Room was fine. Beds quite comfortable. Wi-fi worked only intermittently. Too few outlets. Breakfast offered little; better to have breakfast elsewhere. Dog friendly hotel.

I can't think of a way the staff could have been more friendly. Room was clean. Jacuzzi tub was wonderful. Breakfast was more comprehensive than we expected. They made everything so easy. They even called me when I left my jacket in the room. We didn't swim, but the pool and hot tub looked clean. There were several people partaking.

Traveled with 6 people. Got the large family suite which is advertised as two bedrooms with kitchen and living room with pull out sofa. Technically all true. But there are a few things to note. First, the bedrooms have no windows. They are like big closets with no ventilation or natural light. The room comes with two big box fans which alleviate the ventilation issue, as long as you can find a place to plug them in. But if you leave the bedroom doors open for air, then you get no privacy from the kids. Ceiling fans would help.
Second, the pull out couch is really a small futon. It was very very small, even for two kids. And it was so beat up we had to open it up and rearrange the squares of padding so the kids didn't have to sleep on bare springs.
But, the hotel served its purpose. Having a full-size fridge with a real freezer to refreeze ice packs was great! And the staff was super nice and helpful at check in and when we lost a special kid toy. It was nice having the space of the suite to spread out in, even with the other issues. Given how hard it is to find hotel rooms in this area in summer, this place is okay. Just be prepared with low expectations.

We stayed in the...back? Of the hotel, which obviously hasn't been updated in a while. Peeling wallpaper, disgusting carpet. Weird smell, too, and I can't describe it.

Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Good water pressure. Wifi was pretty much non existant. No good places to plug anything in, which is annoying.

Pool was warm, hot tub was roomy. That area was clean and well-maintained.

Breakfast was poor. They have NO protein, just breads, cinnamon rolls, waffle maker, cereal, oatmeal, and juice. Ended up eating at Pickelman's across the street for breakfast.

If it's updated, I would stay here again. I will say, the staff was very friendly at check in and check out.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit dated. We stayed here after all the rooms in Tahquamenon filled up, and needed a nearby hotel. The major downfall with out room was the lack of outlets (Whole room had roughly 4 outlets, and we had to unplug devices from those outlets to clear up space). However, the wifi had great connectivity and was very fast! The breakfast was okay, but lacking much variety. A bit pricey for what you get.
